got a call from Elijah (?) saying I would qualify for grant funding if I was of "good moral fiber" .  after reading some of the comments, I wonder if they have anyone of good moral fiber working there.

after a couple of conversations with CCT, as it is called here, I decided to run, not walk, away with my hard earned money.  I hope that no one falls for their "get your money back within 60 - 90 days cr@p.

Both people, a male and a female, sounded good but tried me feel like I was an idiot for not pursuing this.

Well everyone, we have been hit too. These idiots have hit the island of Kauai too. they offered me up to $116k and now the new story is that one private foundation and 8 public foundations, will be fulfilling my so called grant. this tele marketer by the name of Deann Pepper, has promised me an appoved grant with in 3 mo.of $116k and said it could go up,and that it was a drop in the bucket,and was the best type of grant, she also explained that this stimulus money was in our region for grants to be distributed to landscape comp only at this time. She required that in order to recieve this grant, I needed to get her $2400.00 within 48 hours to open and hold my retainer for this grant money.[BS!!!] and the remaining balance of $3600. would come out of the $116k grant that I would recieve within 2-3 months Yeah right!!!! Any body who gets calls from this comp. please contact the BBB and the Federal Trade commissioner and FBI to inform them of this fraud alert!!!! Its truely a unbelievable phone scam. She had me approved within one to two hours. How's that! Don't fall for it.  Much Aloha, from Kauai

If you are going to post wrongful information forward please make sure it is accurate.  Your landscaping business may be in jeopardy as a result of your attitude. You were never "approved" of a "stimulus" grant and no there was nothing specific said about landcaping only.  That happens to be your industry. It was never stated for that industry only.  You were never "approved" in two hours even we do not get that info that quick. No question about it yes you were in fact eligible for grant funding however you failed to see the sense in hiring a PROFESSIONAL & LEGAL entity to represent you.  You simply could not afford the retainer and when you finally raised it you became scared and upset that you had to borrow the funds.  Yes we do charge a fee (legal) that is part of our service.  Who in their right mind would argue that $2,400 is not of value when seeking a grant of higher value to sustain their business?

received call from corporate capital team, inc offering help in researching and receiving grant money.  The upfront fee raised a big red flag, and after telling their rep I was going to research their company, was told there was a 72 hour deadline that I had to get my money in by. Really?  After looking into the company as best I could online I've decided the chances they are legit are small, at best.  If they are that confident in obtaining grant money, then they wouldn't need an up front fee; they could subtract their fee from the grant money.  They don't have any good testimonials out there, not even on their website.  Also, they claim to be open for 12 years but the bbb shows they incorporated last year.  There weren't many complaints filed, that I could find, but they do make it clear in their contract they aren't promising receipt of a grant, just that they will try to get one for you.  Heck, I could promise that for $2600.  It just has a sketchy feel to it.  If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.  I'm going to pass on their offer.

I also recieved a call from CCT. This is a fruad. I can not see why no one is doing anything about tht 4 days is business. I got a call aboutck  4 days after I submitted a check online. I change all of my bank info. PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE THESE CROOKS!!

I signed up with CCT, Inc. last July and was sceptical as well. $2400 is a lot of money but after verifying their Business Liscencing and Nevada BBB I decided to make the investment. As of today, I have only received 1 Check but have been notified that another one is coming. It's only about half of what they told me but CCT, Inc. stays in contact with me and I feel confident that they will do their best. The best part is I am able to do this each year. Thanks to Bill W and CCT, Inc.

he asked me questions for about 30-40minutes he said he was from boston...

he said that they have to do research to see if i'm legit or not.. like 1. if i have felonies, 2. us citizen, 3. if i have IRS issues...

i lied 2 him about all three
i am a felon
i am not a citizen
and i do not pay taxes

and i gotta call back saying that i was qualified for $120k

it seems 2 me as though they don't have a research dept...
and they just try 2 amp you up and shake ya for 2400

so yeah, i played with him 2 get the service contract

same idea, 2400 up front to get government issued grants.  3600 out of the grant.  As we have several friends who are ACTUALLY grant writers, who would do this for us for free.....and a nice dinner.  it is great idea to try with no committment up front.  we should probably report to local bbb.  (who here isn't the greatest either).  How appropriate that at the top of this webpage are 2 adds for similar companies. (google ads)

Theres a grant writer alright! Its one person who does the customer service, the letter writing and who knows what else! I hear shes 19...Give me a fn break. These companies start up for a quick buck...They never really have to do anything except  send letters out! Whatever! You can do that on your own consumers! Send a letter out and save yourself money.....Do  a background check on Cody Christensen....Once a truck driver...now a grant writer...Give me f@ckin break!
