This number is the Oregon Department of Transportation wanting you to participate in a travel survey. It seems like a fairly harmless call but pretty pointless to be calling me as I live on the absolute opposite side of the country! Below is info on the survey they want you to participate in... if you're actually in Oregon.

Have asked repeatedly not to be called, and it has been going on every day for a week, and sometimes multiple calls. I have no idea who the company is that belongs to the 888-222-7734 number.

Receive this calls in Georgia also..... at least they say it is a GA DOT survey, and not for another state.   (Side note:  GA is currentl reviewing how to spend recently received federal grant money.)   It is the new normal for legitimate concers, even the government, to issue contract for satellite, commercially owned call centers to conduct their surveys.

Problem with this is two-fold:  (1) as George said, I told them one week ago that I was not participating.  They've called each of past two nights.  

(2) if in fact they are doing legitimate survey for legitimate state agency, they do not have toabide by do-not-call lists or requests and your number may continue to be randomly dialed.

Best suggestion, if you have caller ID, ignore all 800, 866, and 888 calls unless you know relatives have access to a toll free line.

I have told them 3 times to stop calling.  This time I was very rude and slammed the phone down!!!!!!!  They tried to say I have never told them to stop calling!.  That is totally B.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This comapny called me almost 9Pm in the evening, asking me to participate in a survey. I politely said "no". I agree with HARVEY D, do not answer 800 numbers if you have caller ID, or better yet if you have anwering machine listen first who is calling before ansering your calls.

888-222-4227 this number called my boyfriend asking from someone else that lives here but that person that lives here doesn't have my boyfriend's number they hung up
