This number is Barklay Credit Card office.

Don't talk to anyone from 888-232-0780. I got a call from that number and the woman I spoke with pretended to work for Barclaycard US. The phone number even has an automated system that perfectly mimics Barclay Card's automated system. It's a scam! Watch out! Never answer a call from someone who says they work for Barclay. Real Barclay employees don't call you.

This is Barklay Card not a scam i asked for some changes to my account then i got this call. They left a message just confirming that the changes were made. Didn't ask me to call back or anything.

I recevied a call from a guy he said his name was Dewitt, and he said that I applied for a credit card from them and that was a crock of crap because I never heard of them before.and next thing you I recevie a credit  so I just cut it up.

Yes, it is the Barclay bank fraud department phone number... but that doesn't mean it's the Barclay bank fraud department who's calling: Caller ID can be faked and criminals like to fake genuine bank phone numbers. If you get a call from this number just hang up and call your bank yourself using the phone number on the back of your card or another number from a source you have.

I received an answering machine message that an application in my son's name had been received and they needed more information to verify it.  The message came from 888-2320780, but gave 866-469-4977 for call back.  Tried to call, but kept getting a busy signal.  Went Barclays Bank fraud website and it had a place to check any questionable phone number.  The site said that Neither number is valid.

I just checked Barclay's Fraud department website.  Enter a phone number and it will tell you if it is a number that the FRAUD department uses.  The number may be a Barclay's number, but it is not a valid Fraud Department number.  The call back phone number I was given kept giving me a busy signal, so went online to find out about it.

This was the Barclay credit department. I requested a credit limit increase online and saw I had a missed call from this number. I called the number on the back of my card and the rep verified it was the credit department calling me about my request.

They are using 888-232-0780 and there is a scam going around from this number!

They called TWICE this morning. Did not answer either time. Glad to have read this about it being a scam.

I requested an increase and this number was from customer service, calling to verify information. I did check their site and under help verified that this was a valid number (https://www.barclaycardus.com/servicing/headerLinks?handleFaq=)

This is a legit call from Barclaycard's fraud department. They called me to verify a credit card application made in my name. I had not applied for a credit card. An identity thief was using my info to get a credit card to buy Apple products. I recently filed a fraud alert with the 3 credit bureaus (this is the fifth credit card that the identity thieves have tried to get over the past month), so I am thankful that Barclays heeded the fraud alert and called me and therefore I was able to stop the credit application from being approved. So, at least for me, this call was legit.
