telemarketer - calls - never leaves a message

Called at 12.59 AM, Saturday Jan 3 2015. Said "hello ?" and hung up.

These guys just called, and left no message. When I called back, I got a message that said "This is not a working number"

They call about 8 every morning and wake up
My 78 year old mother who has trouble sleeping.

I get a call a day. Like clockwork.

Spoofed phone number.  Most likely construction or solar.

This is so ridiculous.  Why can't I have a phone number that shows up as a non working number?  Why are companies allowed to do business like this? Can't say what type of business is calling because they don't answer when you call back.

i asked to be removed from their call list & THEY REFUSED!

I get the number 888-240-4981 & no message just hang up, then exactly 15 minutes later another one
888-240-5008 does the same thing... these 'telemarketers or scammers' when I'm bored, I'll string them along & then they hang up ( i do this to use up their time to make them pay for the ling distance calls)
but these don't sell or say anything.
Just use up our voice mail space. Waste of time & $ on both parts.

call but don't leave a message I refuse to answer these calls that have a 800 service or other obviously fake caller id. they are obviously crooks if they cannot id themselves properly.

They identified that they were from the National Rifle Association.

that's some [***] right there, you must be a gun HATTER or something along those lines no one called you from the NRA on that number!!!!!!!!!!

This caller called me several times in the past 3 wks & I finally answered today and IT WAS THE NRA. And No Jon W, I'm not a gun hater because I'm actually a NRA member.

I got the same call last night ! My wife answers and they ask if I'm there! And she said no! What is this dealing with, they said I'm with the NRA, I'll call back later!
I just joined them! Was wonder if I won something! In a sweepstakes with them!
It comes back as non- working number!
Then how the hell can they call from there!
I'm not a gun hater! If this is some tactic used by telemarketing, it's not right!
I wouldn't think some organization such as NRA would do this ! If it happens again I will let them know!

In a way, your all correct. It is the NRA, but not the National Rifle Association. It's the National Recovery Agency. They are a "junk debt" buyer that in most cases are beyond the statute of limitations. They call themselves the NRA when looking for someone to disguise the true nature of the call.

This is not the National Rifle Association. I am an NRA life member, and they would not call to solicit membership.
This is however, the a bogus outfit called National Recovery Agency, trying to collect bogus debts.
