Said they were Federal Labor Law Agency and needed to send labor law posters.  I asked is there a charge because I don't think I require them.  Told me it's $189 one time fee.  I ask again are you a government agency?  He said we are with/affiliated with the Federal Labor Agency. Well, I said that's not what you said in the beginning and I don't think I am required to pay $189 for some posters I do not need.

Received a call from "Federal Labor Law Office" stating that since I am a new business that I am required by law to have posters up and that they will be sent via UPS and the cost was $189.00.  When I asked him for his website to preview the list of the posters I needed, he told me to type in any government website and I would see the information.  I knew it was b.s. when he would not give me the website for his office.  The poster's can be downloaded for "FREE" if you search for them!

This company called us "Federal Labor Law Office".  Why are these people allowed to call a business and impersonate federal agents.  They called threatening us, stating that we are in trouble if we do not give them 189.00 immediately.  They are full of it.  Don't order anything from them.

SCAM. they are breaking the law by posing as a Gov agency.
You can get the posters for FREE on http://www.dol.gov/
the government will never give you a phone call requiesting you to purchase something. Real goverment agencies always send letters.

report them to the BBB, and if they call again tell them you are on the do not call list.

Same thing as above...3x now 3 different people have called identifying themselves as people from the "Federal Labor Law Office" and demanding that I pay them a "one time fee" of $180 in order to be in compliance.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO!! Tell them they ought to be ashamed of themselves, hang up and report to the Atty General's Office.

You can call your bank and ask for a refund, as you didn't authorize that amount.  And beware, now that they know you are there and new at this, they willl try again.  Or will try to collect what you get back from your bank.  Stand up for your rights, and don't be a victim.

You can get these things for free at the local Department of Labor, or order them online for free.  Good luck.

Also got this call from the "Federal labor law Offices" at first the individual had we hooked telling me that i needed the federal posters for $189. Then i told him i don't have any employees so i didn't think i actually needed those posters (small office customers would see them otherwise). He proceeded to tell me i was correct but if i ever hired someone i would have to have them or i would get huge fines. I told him i would wait until i needed them. Than he switched up and said well you will need your state posters because they don't care if you have employees or not and those are $39. Being a long time salesperson i immediately recognized this tactic and got off the phone in a hurry to research it. This is where i am at now. thanks guys, just goes to show you should always do your research before making decisions!
