- mike| 1 replyCalled my wife told here if i dont pay i would be going n to jail and charged with a felony
- NickSaid they are serving papers at my house and work and to have two forms of ID available if I don't call them back
- Latoya| 1 replyCalled and left a message on Monday 12/15 and said the name of the company was A1 Legal Courier Services. His name was Patrick at ext. 105. He calls back today 12/18 with another company name of Legal Support Services and leaves a rude message that He has tried contacting me on several occasions and that i am blatantly ignoring this matter. If I didn't return the call he will have to appear in court. If I do I will avoid a court appearance. I called back to go directly on hold no one answered so I called back and was on hold again. A young lady answered without giving the company name and I asked for Patrick and his ext. she asked for a document number. She then put me on hold and said she will give him the info to look it first then transfer me. She transfer me to the "Director" no name and he calls me hon . I asked him to send me proof via mail, he says they don't send mail form the court and he works for the court. He asks me to verify info. I said no and he says well you will be served. I told him to go for it and hung up!

- CWG40 replies to Anon| 4 repliesTotal scam.
Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
If they are bothering you, report them:

Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now. - CWG40 replies to LatoyaTotal scam. No legitimate process server notifies you in advance. Somebody is just trying to scare you into paying them something. Ignore them and block their calls.
- Anon replies to joshua6767| 2 repliesBut this is a different number from the one on this thread...

He also gave a time period he would show and said to call if I needed to reschedule.
- Anon replies to Anon| 1 replyI just don't want to ignore it if it's real, but am thinking it's a scam. It seems like I'll be in trouble for ignoring it if it is real though. Any way to know for sure?

- Total ScamThis number called my unlisted home phone @ 3 pm today, 12-18. She left a voice mail saying her name was Amanda and was calling from "Legal Support Services". She knew my name, sort of, and said she had legal papers for me that would be "served" tomorrow between 4 and 6 pm and that I needed to have 2 forms of identification ready. She also mentioned something about the county I live in, but didn't know how to pronounce it. I'm not real sure her name was Amanda, either. She didn't seem too convinced.
These are the debt collectors they do Dateline and 60 Minutes specials about. The crazy illegal ones. I mean, what process service gives you notice??
Total scam.- Caller: ?? Legal Support Services ??
- AnnoyedTotal Scam - I too just recvd the same phone call from a Isabelle Pierce. She also could not get the county name correct and had an odd docket number to reference. These people must be really hard up to be calling in the evening. I have had so many of these calls its so annoying . This one told me that they are showing up between 4&6 and will try my place of employment and home address,, (that is an awful lot of driving to do ) REALLY , Documents, if legit should be sent via mail, nobody gets a courtesy call that they will be showing up ,,

If they don't send you a debt validation letter and keep on telling you you are going to e served and refuse to properly ID themselves, you can be sure it's a scam.
Ignore them. Block their calls. Report them. Read the other notes!
This is little better than an extortion attempt.
