I'm not Richard Barnes, that's the name used on the voice mail.  I've been getting them for 4 days now.  Not sure why they've targeted my number but they've used a different name and have called from different numbers.  

A actually got in touch with someone from New York who is experiencing the same harrassment.

I have been getting calls from this number for 3 to 4 days and it's very threatening, claiming they are going to target my taxes.  I need to know if this is legit or not.

That is the company calling me, I just called the number back.  From a different number, so they can't track it back.  They are very threatening and bring in taking your taxes, which I'm pretty sure they can't do.  These people need to be stopped.

I've been getting the same calls.  A day before they started I received a call with a restricted number.  I answered and they hung up.  The calls are not for me and I did contact them and asked them to stop.  Attorney General is my next phone call.

I received numerous calls. They started out saying that I need to contact them immediately, that I had defaulted on a loan, that this was going to affect my taxes and got increasingly harrassing. I finally got phone calls stating that I had been accused of "vicious" bank activity (as if I was Patty Hearst or something for God's sake)  which led to more phone calls stating they had a recorded statement that I had admitted guilt and that I was going to be subpoenaed either at my place of employment or at home. I called back and they asked if I was "certain first name" which was not my legal name. I have a very common first and last name and I said no. They asked me if my birth date was a certain date I told them no and that they need to stop harrassing me. They asked about a SS# which of course I did not give, but the number they gave me was not mine. They told me they would take my name off "the list." Several minutes later they called back and a woman asked me again about my birthdate, name and SS#. This time, they were using a former name I had while married, etc. I was unable to find out any info, but the only illegal thing I have ever done is rip tags off of pillows when I was a little girl. This is VERY disturbing to me also, especially as the calls became increasingly alarming.
