Collection Agency trying to collect on debts that have been paid for almost a year ago.  She wanted to know how I paid "with a check or credit card, I will need that information to update my records", and I said I was not going to share any information regarding that.  Very shady!!

I answered and a man asked for a "Salma" something after a few seconds of silence. I said he had the wrong number and he said "thank you" and hung up.

This person continues to call my elderly mother's phone, looking for someone who does not live there.  She is bed-ridden and 90+++ years of age.
I have been told my my attorney that this caller can be sued for $1,000. for every call they make to my mother's phone.  They have been told to stop but continue to call anyway.  Her Caller ID has recorded 16 phone calls in the past 30 days from this number.  That's $16,000 and well worth the efforts to prosecute this guy!

Got a call from this # at 5:45 and they asked for a name that doesn't live here and never has.

I called the number back and they refused to tell me where they were calling from.

This number calls daily.  I have it blocked on my phone after reading the above, so now it just rings once.  When I first did answer a couple of months ago, they asked for someone with an incorrect name.  I have reported the number to every place I can think of to no avail.

called my cell phone at 8:30 AM and didn't answer.  no message left so I called them back.  when i called the number it was strange because it never rang once just a lady picked up immediately and asked how she may help me.  no introduction saying what company she worked for or anything.  i told her i received a call from this number and didn't know why.  after a few seconds of hearing her typing in the background to look up why they had called she said they were looking for a Bridgette.  obviously I'm not Bridgette nor do I have a family member or even know anyone named Bridgette

these mutha [***] want melissa, i've told them that i'm not melissa, and yet they keep calling, and so today it told me to hit 1 if i was melissa so i hit 1 and said listen i'm not [***] melissa you calling from some [***] area code that pisses me off and she said i'm calling for 614 and i said well i'm not melissa and she said okay i'm sorry and then i said sorry if i sounded like an [***] she laughed and i said have a good one and i hung up

A legit debt collector has to send paperwork within 5 days of initial contact, give you 30 days to dispute the debt, etc. per Section 809 of the FDCPA http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf  No paperwork means it's a scam.

couldn't understand a word that was said.  it was a computer voice.

Just called my cell phone and I decided to answer.  An autoanswer voice asked if I was Pamela R. Kirby. Press "1" for Yes and "2" for No. After pressing "2", the voice said they would try to contact this person at a later time.

Just called my cell. I just got this number 2 days ago. Whatever. Didn't answer and they left no message.

trying to collect an old utility bill from 2002,,,,,9 years???? I said to shove it!

I don't know what this collector was calling about because I only saw the number on my caller ID, but it didn't list anything other than "800 Service" and when I read the postings here someone mentioned a company names ACF Medical Services, Inc. which is a collections company out of Roanoke, VA.  It apparently offers "recovery and management of medical debt" but that's pretty funny because it's not offering anything to me or my boyfriend, who both are and have been "healthy as an ox" or so they say.  I don't know what they wanted from either of us, so they must be attempting to track someone else down.

I had the same call, asking for the same person, and when I said that no one has ever lived here by that name, his voice changed and you couldn't understand him, so I hung up.

I see this on my caller ID often.  It is some sort of collection outfit according to other postings here.  I have no idea why I'm getting calls. I absolutely do not owe anyone money.
