they called and it was on my caller id but nobody leaves a voice message nothing thats stupid if they want you why not leave a message

I answered the phone and the representative asked for my husband. When I said he was not at home, and "may I ask who is calling" she hung up on me. I was appalled to call the number back from the caller I.D. to find out it was a Cancer Support Service. They really need to monitor phone calls that are being made from their representatives. I could not have made a donation because she hung the phone up on me. Very rude, and extremely shocking they hire reps like that to work for such a serious cause!

Called and asked if they could count on me for a pledge card.  I told them to go ahead and send me one and the caller hung up.

I wrote to the American Cancer Society and asked about their connection to this Cancer Fund of America.  They are not affliated at all and the American Cancer Society warns of this other organization.  You can goggle it and gets lots of info as I did...basically they are an organization who professes to use the funds you send to help cancer patients...etc...but they are NOT recognized or certified by the BBB which you must be in order to be a legal and legit organization...otherwise you are a con artist/scammer/fraud.  The American Cancer Society appreciates any support that we, who get these calls continiously, can give by reporting the number and organization to the BBB(Better Business Bureau) and donotcall.gov.  Both have forms that you can fill out to report them.  It really is quite quick and easy.  Maybe if we harrass them enough, they will do more about the situation.  And report it more than once...every time they call, report it!

I have been getting calls from this number, but since it only lists a phone number I don't answer.  Especially since its an 888 number.  In the past I've contributed to the Cancer Fund as well as others.  Soon I realized that they were professional hired money hawkers and calling back every 6 months for another donation.  Not only that, apparently they sell your name to other charities because I started getting calls from charities that I've never heard of.  I think that it's unfortunate that you can't just make a contribution without being harassed for the rest of your life.  But that's business.  Someday, I hope that Do Not Call will actually mean that.  When the FTC starts paying my phone bill, then they can decide who is eligible to drive me crazy.  Until that time, I don't need it or want it.

The caller asked for my mother. Since she wasn't here, I asked,"Who's calling please?"  The person said,"This is a thank you call."   So I asked again,"Who's calling please."  The person said again,"This is a thank you call.  Are you *********?" (my Mom's name)?"  
I said,"She's not here right now.  May I take a message?"  
The caller said in an unfriendly tone,"I'll just call later," and hung up.  So I did a caller ID trace and looked the number up here.  
Thanks for this service.  I am rarely suspicious and definitely I am only my mother's helper, not preventing her callers from getting through.

This 'charity' has a very poor rating.  Look it up on one of the websites that rates charities and you will see they use almost 100% of the funds they raise for fundraising and admin expenses.  Virtually nothing goes to services.  It is a scam.  We got on their list and we can't get off.

This people from this number 888.276.2971 have called our house at least 7-8 times the past two days. Most were just on the caller ID as "800 service" or "Toll free service". The couple times we answered my wife had answered. On both calls the person simply asked for me by mispronouncing my last name horribly, then when my wife said I wasn't there (even though I was), they said they'd call back, my wife then proceeded to tell them to take our name off their calling list, they quickly hung up.

This number shows up in the ID, I answer inadvertently, met with nothing but silence at the other end of the line followed by a hangup?  My number's listed, so I worry that this is someone trying to suss out if I am physically present at the listing address.

Even on the do not call list people still get these calls, I said no thank you but they kept trying to get money out of me. If they call again for a donation after reading this I will not be as nice as I was today. Got to love google!

My mom receives calls from this # daily, but she does not answer. I answered the phone tonite & they asked for my mom, when I said she was not here & asked who they were...they stated it was a "thank you call" & that they would call back. I told them not to call anymore, and she stated she HAD to talk to my mom, but refused to tell me about what. I told her that we were tired of them calling everyday & she stated that this phone # is listed for a number of different non profit organizations, and that it wasnt necessarily from their organization. I asked her name & what the company was, she said her name was Chris & that it was the cancer drive.

Does anyone know how to stop receiving calls from this number?
They call our number several times a day.  We don't answer but it

Numerous calls and hanging up while trying to ask a question.  I will block this number.

This number rings us every day.  I answered and they asked for my wife.  I asked who was calling and to be added to their do not call list.  "So you don't want to help cancer patients" was her reply.  She kept asking why I didn't want to be called any more.  I finally just said thank you and hung up.

they call 2-3 times a day and i hit mute as soon as i answer to see how long it takes and how many hello's they say. I made the mistake of answering one time and they were not only rude but when i told them to take my name off the list( they hadn't even asked for the right  person to begin with!!) they told me it was illegal to d that and it was illegal to as them to do that

Anyone that calls after 9PM (in the same time zone they reside!); who does not leave a message or identify who they are; and WHO CAN'T BE REACHED BY TELEPHONE, probably ISN'T ALL THAT LEGITIMATE. Try contacting them at the number they called from: 888-276-2971 or one of the contact numbers on their website: 888-840-5242 or 888-766-3512... if it looks like a phone scam, walks like a phone scam and quacks like a phone scam, it probably is a phone scam

They call and never leave a message, please tell me how to get these people from calling all the time....
