Who is calling my phone

GMAC, this is the number they call from if you have had trouble with your account before or are on the verge of going into repo status.

Yeah, i get calls from this number and i have no gmac accounts. Never have...It's so annoying

Calls saying that i have an overdue account with GMAC, i don't have any accounts with these people. They want my SS number all the time.

I don't know about it being GMAC - it is very fishy as I have had multiple calls asking for different people each time!  The number is also given as a contact number on website http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Lunar. ... nt.323-721-4103
so I certainly wouldn't give them ANY information and I think I will report them to my telephone company.  Perhaps you should, too.  If the calls are made to your cell phone as mine were . . . well, who knows.

I was called between 2 and 2:30 pm on Monday and Tuesday and each time they asked for a different person - neither of whom I had ever heard of.  When I asked the second caller where he was calling from, he refused to say.  This is a mobile phone they're calling and I've had my number for 12 years.  I'm extremely suspicious, as googling the number produced a website:http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Lunar. ... nt.323-721-4103 - yet others have been told it is GMAC.

For the last year my cell phone has been getting lots of wrong numbers from people trying to call GMAC at 877-845-2642 to make phone payments.  

The problem - they are misdialing the area code.  Instead of dialing 877 - they dial my area code instead.  
Some people have called me at least 4 times in a row without ever considering THEY ARE DIALING THE WRONG NUMBER.
I have had my cell number for at least 2 years before the all the wrong number calls started coming in.  

Some idiots have actually left messages thinking they called GMAC, because they did not listen to my vmail greeting.

Had a pre-recorded call on Christmas Eve.  Called the number back and it was GMAC-hung up on them.  I have no accounts with them and they call a lot. Don't they have anything better to do on a holiday!?!?

This number has called my in-laws, friends from high school parents, my aunt but not myself.  They say they are from GMAC, but I have no accounts with GMAC.

If (888) 276-6022 shows up on your caller ID, you are getting a call from the GMAC Finance Customer Service/Collections call center at 2911 Lake Vista Drive in Lewisville, Tx. This is also a call center for the soon to be launched GMAC Consumer Bank. How do I know this? Because I work there.

I hate gmac

a co-worker got a call on her cell, they said it was GMAC looking for me, i dont have credit lines with them, no car, no bank cards, how did they pull her number and my name, i dont know have been there less than a year, and have no relation to the woman

This is GMAC calling. They called me looking for my neighbor who lives next door. They had been trying to contact him. Asked us if we had another number for our neighbor because they have been trying to contact him for months.Wow the world is getting stranger when your neighbor bill collector calls your house trying to collect on your neighbor... lol So some of you folks may not have gmac bank but you may live next door to the person they are trying to get in touch with. They wanted to know if he lived next door still. I know they didn't think I was going to walk across the st to give him the phone. I'm not getting paid for doing there job. go figure... but they were very polite and did not give out any of his personal info of the call. I heard GMAC arm carloans suk anyway. I like my finace company for my car citibank.maybe i will refer my neighbor and tell him refinance his gmc truck.

I have received calls from this collection agency for close to a year but they would not identify themselves. From what I've found so far this appears to be GMAC Credit or an agency working under its authority. They will NOT honor requests to remove your number AND you should in no circumstance provide them any personal infomation. They will even try to bait you by stating "..give me your social security number so we can verify your information to remove you from our database" which is just another way they can move to attach your bank account or other measures. Just for the record, I do not own anything from GM nor do any of my family members. The person they are calling for has a name 26 letters long and sounds like a third world scumbag who crawled out from under his rock long enough to defraud someone...

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? Depending on the state in which you live, call your phone company and ask to be connected to the nuisance/ illegal calls unit to file a report and get info on programs to stop the calls. Also, especially in California you should contact the State Attorney General with the company number and the name (google the number!) I finally had enough when they (GMAC) threatened my family and now I'm going after them!

They called my cell again this morning - hung up when I answered.
I called the number back from office phone and got the VRU for GMAC

I still do not have an account with GMAC,  so they have no reason to be calling me at all.  

The only thing I can think of is people are claiming they tried to make a payment by calling my cell number.   Its not thier fault they cannot dial the correct number..

they called asking if i knew so and so.... well yea, but i havnet had contact in almost 10 years. 10 years! this agency is nuts! how am i supposed to find him????

and even if i did know how. i wouldnt tell

They called again this morning, it was a conference call set up.  When I answered so I could complain about the constant calls from account holders and now the collections dept - they hung up as soon as I said hello.  

I went to the GMAC website and sent an email
I cited the account holders -not dialing the correct number (claiming they got MY number from GMAC) and now getting calls from the collections dept.
TOLD THEM TO MAKE IT STOP!

So this number is actually a company called Nuvell. they are a collection agency for GMAC. It is a totally legit company... and i know this because my mom called me from this number, and i instantly googled it to see who was calling before i answered... after like 5 constant calls i answered and it was her... shes a fraud prevention person for them... but they do collections for GM also... so case closed.. hahaha their website is http://www.nuvell.com/ if you wanna do more research.

Company name given: GMAC, I have not accounts with GMAC, will be checking to see if someone has stolen my information. Others say the same as to why they received a call from this number, I feel it is a fishy call.

I just called GMAC directly and they transferred me to this number.  They were not pushy and very nice to me...I used to deal with people in South Carolina but they said that they have taken over some accounts from the East.  I never have had any problems with GMAC..I've fallen behind since going thru my divorce and they've always helped me with extensions or whatever I need.
