That's the REPO man calling for Chrysler Financial..

Called my cell phone this morning ... never seen the number before.  Left no message.

I do not, and have never owned a Chrysler product (or financed anything with Chrysler).

Received call regarding a 2008 Grand Caravan.  Never owned a Grand Caravan.  Suspect it is a BS call trying to get me to call on some other matter.

Got a call this morning from 888-287-0600.  The name given was Joshua, said he was with Northstar Companies and he was looking for someone that I never heard of with the same last name as me.  He claimed that this person was one year behind in car payments to Chrysler.  If I did not call him, he claimed that I (or the bogus person he was looking for) would never be able to finance a car again.

I've only had my current phone number for 2 months, so there is no way anyone would associate me with my current number a year ago.

I have found another link saying that this phone number is supposed to belong to Johnathans Travel of Wallace, NC.

Glad I did some research on this company before I called this moron back tomorrow and ripped him a new one.  I will save myself the trouble.  It's not worth it.

Another call identical to the one received on July 3rd.  In fact, it almost sounded like a recording - identical to the first one.

this #called me 8 timesin a row! they ask for the wrong person and then keep calling! when they call early in the morning i pick up and hang up the phone! they play on the phone by saying things like "how rude!" when you pick up and dont say anything. they keep calling! i've asked to be taken off the calling list and told them i dont want anything they're selling. now that i know that its got something to do with chrysler or honda, well, i dont and never have owned either one of those type vehicles! in reporting them to my local police dept. the very next time they call!

You know why you get calls reguarding someone else on a different matter dont you?  Its not phishing, and not harassing.  The people assigned to contact you and are not psychic.  If you dont answer your phone because they left you a message for someone else or about something you've never owned, like a honda or a chrysler, then pick up the phone, tell them who you are and tell them they've got the wrong number!! They dont want to waste their time calling a bad lead either.  And remember, phone companies, especially cell phone companies, constantly recycle their numbers.  I'm in the business and even had to change my own number because some guy used my number when he signed up for his pep boys account.  So dont be a jerk, tell the person the truth and the calls will end.

Thanks Joe but if that actually worked you are one of the lucky ones.  I advised them that I do not know the person and please don't call this number any longer.  I asked them to remove my number as a contact for this person and I continued to get at least 2 calls a month.  I suspect it is this continued practice by a lot of trace companies that has the populus upset and frustrated.

I got a call from this number and a lady name Myriam said the same thing that if I didn't turn in the vehicle that I would not be able to get another car. Said that they would report the car as stolen. Well little did she know that I have a case number and I filed bankruptcy and was told by my attorney that they had to go thru the courts to get the car back, that I am protected so looks like if they call me again I just may be seeing me a "new vehicle" out of a lawsuit.

Answering the phone and telling them who you are, is not going to STOP them from calling again. You have to get their address, send them a "Certify Letter" and demand that they do not call again and if they do, you can file sue!!!

Lady said she works for Chrysler Financial... Looking for a vehicle. Said I stole it, and wanted it back...

Called my home and said they were looking for my son who has not lived here since 1992. I told them if they would call again they will be prosecuted and to remove my number from their calling list!! A tow truck driver came to my home the night before and would not leave and left a note to call him asap. I called him and told he he will be prosecuted as well and do not come on my property.

They spoke VERY quickly to my voice mail. I replayed the messages several times. They said that they are from North Star and asked for someone I’ve never heard of. They have called two days in a row. Looking up North Star on the internet they are simply a collection agency. Companies usually pay them by the percentage they are able to collect. This means that these collection companies are hired to be the tough, bad **** over the phone. I've had my telephone number for over twenty years. No one in my house hold has ever been turned over to collection agencies. We are not behind on payments for any company.

Thank god for caller ID. 

Called left information about someone else.  Told me their entire life history on my voice mail. This company is going to get itself in trouble one of these days if they call someone who enforces privacy laws.
