Has anyone received a call from this number today or recently. They say they have received some fax papers about a bad check and will be serving me with papers.
I received one of these about a week and a half ago from another number and lots of people were saying they received them also, it was also about a outstanding bad check and serving papers since they did not get a hold of me. It was a one time thing and I put it on this site.
It must be another one.

The company is calling themselves Johnson York. They called me saying that they bought a Debt from Cash Advance USA and said that I owed money for a Payday loan that I received, but never paid. I informed the guy that Payday loans are not allowed in my State due to their high interest rate, and that also state law permits that I must be served by a licensed Sheriff and he said he would then dispute it and was quick to get me off the phone so I feel this was a Scam, and as I checked around the internet it sounds like a Scam to me.

These people called a crisis hotline in which I work, with a recorded message stating my name and that they were going to serve me with court papers  and consider it my notification.  I don't know who the hell they are....I never heard of them, I am not responding.  They broke the fair credit debt collection law by doing this.  I think people like this need to get a damn life, stop harassing people, and should be thrown in a jail to sit awhile to think about what they are doing.  They have a lot of boldness when they are on the phone lines, but probably would run with their tails between their legs face to face.

First of all....read the fair debt collection act.  They aren't allowed to harass you, nor call your place of work and indicate in any manner that you owe money.....if you really do.  Alot of times, these are scam artists ...fishing, trying to obtain any information or response that could indicate that you might owe them.  Also, they have to provide written proof of debt, your signed contract that you took a loan or service from the ORIGINAL CREDITOR.....Never confirm the last four of your social......ever!!!!!  You don't owe these idiots anything.  Report them to the FTC and TCC.  They are criminals...and do not practice any legal ways!!!!!!

These people call me several times a day, sayingthey are working for Alex Swift and that my huband has a hot check and they are going to serve him papers at his place of employment if he does not contact them.  I know this is a scam because if they really had a check on him why would they be contacting me, as my name and telephone number are not associated in anyway with his account.  It is just annoying to be interrupted at my job over this nonsense.

These people call my phone stating that they had recieved fax papers in reference to a bad check I wrote and since I didn't answer their call consider my self notified and left the 888-288-0910 number on my voice mail however when they called the number showed up as unknown. They also stated they worked for Alex Swift. First of all as someone stated in an earlier post legally you cannot be contacted at work about a debt you owe if it was a legitimate call then they would notify you in writing as opposed to call and trying to use scare tactics to get you to wire money to them. THIS IS A SCAM!!! I believe they get your information off of the internet. I called the Attorney General's Office and they told me to just ignore the calls and there is nothing that can be done because the calls are likely from overseas or out of the country.

The phone number 888-288-0910 is leased from a company called RingCentral Inc. 1400 Fashion Island Blvd., San Mateo, CA 94404.  www.ringcentral.com or 1-888-898-4591.  If enough people complain to their customer service dept., they will cancel the subscriber. RingCentral is libel for their customers using their numbers for illegal or fraudulent activities.

This message is for XXXXXXX, my name is Alex with some calling about a fax order I received in my office in reference to a bad check that was written. I have some legal documents in hand that I need to serve you up and I was calling to schedule a place and time where we could meet. However, since I was unable to reach you by phone. I will be actively trying to serve these documents to you and either your place of employment or residence. If you have any questions in regards to your summons. You may still contact the plaintiff at 888-288-0910 and refer to case number 944572. XXXXXX good morning, you have officially been served"

I called this Ring Central and could only get technical support and they were no help.  Apparently there customers charged their service via debit card and they disavow any knowledge.  I don't think you're going to get anywhere calling Ring Central.

Got the same word-for-word message on my mom's machine.  Funny how I've supposedly written a bad check when I haven't written ANY checks for at least 2 years (I prefer cash and debit cards).  And there's been no unexplained activity on my bank account.  And they would have called MY number, not mom's.....

I keep receiveing calls from a lady named Patty Allen from a company called Johnson York.  She's threatening me to make a payment to close out an account for a payday loan I got through CMG.  I don't remember getting this loan so I called CMG & they said that I've NEVER had an account with them!!!  This lady told me that they have issued a warrant & that the police will be here to get me today!  lol  Then she settled with me to make a money gram payment.  The number she's calling from is 888-288-0910.  I'm being scammed!!!

Received the exact same message on my cell phone from this "company". Guessing this is a robocall as there was no option for a human to come to the phone. I've never bounced a check on my account, use online banking on almost all bills, and find this pretty disgusting.

I have a friend that called this for me. She gave Patti a fake name and told her that she was calling to make her $500 dollar payment. They of course couldnt find my case (because they never called me I was calling them to see if they would scam me) so I hung up. Patti then called me back and said "oh honey we found your case"..oh really you did? IT DOESNT EXIST. I simply did this to see if they would take ANYONES money, and they will. Not a scam? I think your crazy. They have been reported to the police as well as the FTC. I guess the "police will be serving them" with papers. Losers.

I just went through hell with these ppl... They bagan harassing me in 2010 calling my job and almost got me fired. They are very rude and jept saying something about a bad check and a payday loan place called paydayone. I live in Michigan, called paydayone and they dnt have anyting under my ss# and then they dnt associate with the state of michigan! Lol wow im making a police reort tomorrow i hope alot of you did the same!! That would be the smart thing to do to try and catch these ppl. They need to get thrown in jail im also calling fox2 news hall if shame and problem solvers. They r wrong, they r the devil.

I received a call today on my cell phone from all 00000's.  I just listened to the voice mail it was an automated voice claiming to be an Alex Swift stating that he had just received a fax and wanted to meet me to serve me papers at either my home or my place of employment.  They gave me a case number and asked me to call back to 888-288-0910.  I have filed a report with the Attorney General's office and the FTC.  

This is a scam, do not pay these people.  They are obtaining your information from forms or other business that you have done on the internet.  You can obtain additional information on the FBI's website regarding payday loan scams.

They end up hacking computers for info such as ss#'s, adresses,place of work,etc. they called my land line which is in someone elses name so thats weird! Its very sad...they said the pulled up my yahoo records from where I actually took out one loan, and they sent me an email saying its paid off which i knew but im getting proof for my police report im making in the morning. Im gonna call them from another phone private and put them on speaker and use my cell to record it do the police can listen. Im gonna ask questions like how did u see where i found the loan on my computer its creey how they said they got my records from yahoo when i was looking up the lian place that i actually did get a loan from, then adk if they can verify my ss#,bday, drivers liscens # and stuff. So they r about to get BUSTED!!!! Lmao!!!!!

When calling ring central you have to press 0, duh! Come on ppl its 2012!!!! I called and they said said there is nothing they can do and i asked for a supervisor and she wouldnt put them on the line what company does that???? Maybe ring central is a part of this too! What johnson dork.....opps i mean york does is pay a fee for the phone numbers/lines and they try to get us to give them miney to pocket and pay ring central. I dnt believe it seems im the only one that really understands whats going on. Use ur brain that God gave u and put everything together lol geeeesh!!!! Maybe ring central should be getting reported as well. I called private and they still knew it was me these are some bored a** ppl! They are embarrasing themselves little do they know. God will handle them personally.

Hilarious.  Just got this call for some random name.  It's clear by the phrasing that they have no idea where this guy works or lives (plus they called my number that I've had for over three years).  This one may have youtube potential :)
