As this Tom was told when he signed up, initial dues and fees are taken immediately, and subsequently on or about the 18th of each month thereafter, unless the member cancels.  The member had to agree to this or we would not have done it.

It is a limited benefit plan.  Wal-mart offers them. They are everywhere, and are legitimate, but limited, benefit plans.  You don't get something for nothing. If you think you will get a full blown major medical plan for $159.95 a month you need to re-think your assessment.  And, yes, the programs will write everyone.  Think of it this way:  when you work for a big company which offers health insurance, you cannot be turned down.  Why? because the company constitutes a GROUP.  The association in this case takes the place of the employer, and a group limited benefit hospital indemnity plan is issued to the association, so that everyone who joins will automatically qualify.

Your statement contains no specific allegations, and so it is hard to defend.  However, we are regulated by departments of insurance in every state we market in, and have yet to have a department of insurance take ANY regulatory action against us, as we do business as we should. Are we perfect? no.  But when problems arise, we deal with them appropriately.  HCCUA has a B- rating with the Better Business Bureau, and the marketing Agency, ICAN Benefit Group, has an A rating.

Wow! Not even sure what to make of this, but we do not send unsolicited faxes, and our Limited Benefit Plans are indeed underwritten by Pan-American Life Insurance company.  I believe this person is confusing us with another company. I guarantee that we send no unsolicited faxes and do not market by fax at all.  Once again, we do not market in Washington state.

I'm sure you sell major medical insurance.  What do you recommend for the declines, as you call them in the industry?

Not everyone can qualify for even a high deductible plan, if they have medical issues.

Looking that you answer to Trudy's mail of january 11th came on April 14th, it does not inspire trust or confidence. Canyou clarify wjho you are , not only "the compliance guy", and give a phone number and an opportunity to all the unhasppy people to talk to you IN PERSON. If you are ligitimate and you do so, they might change their mind, and this would be beneficial to you. If you are legit, you should accept this challenge!!

Whoever wrote that "We do not market in the State of Washington" is a liar.
I just saw it 3 times during Leave it to Beaver. That's why I looked the company up, as I am interested in Insurance. Imagine that... lying to the American public during the wholesome Leave it to Beaver? What a clown you are and also probably a fraud too. By the way, after reading most of these blogs Mr. Director, whoever you really are.... try gretting a direct "real" line to your desk.... that is if you have one and your not working out of the back seat of your car. I wouldn't buy anything from this company after reading the comments posted. Give people their hard earned money back when they ask for a refund you idiot and you won't have to blog back a bunch of lies.... or heh, try this one.... give them some REAL consumers names and contact numbers that are satified with your B.S. company. Uh.... and I don't mean your relatives either.... because if anyone related to you knew what you are really up to they would probably turn you in themselves. One more question....Do you or your family and reletives carry this insurane? If so, then prove it. Hmmmmmm....... I thought not. Get a real job you fool!
Oh, and by the way... please feel free to contact me if YOU like, Mr. Director, at: jmtnguy@yahoo.com

From a consumer ............ tired of creeps like you screwing the American public.

P.S. If this message is received by the wrong party... it is intended for the Director and the company known as HCCUA. Please post. Thank you.

Saw the HCCUA ad today on cable.  Not sure if HCCUA is good or bad, but the basichealthinsurance.com looks identical.  Also looked at AFIDLLC and see nothing but discount plans.

Diane, you are absolutely correct that these people should call their State Insurance Commissioner.  They don't like to hear of people getting ripped of at all.  However, when you say that United Health Insurance has a better plan, that is true, but for people with pre existing conditions like myself that are automatically turned down for insurance, United Health and others won't insure us either.

BEWARE!!  DO NOT fall for this scam. DO NOT ever give out your social security number and credit card number to any company that requests this information over the phone. As I fell for this "too good to be true" insurance plan (scam), I learned that my credit card was being used not only for the enrollement fee and insurance charge(s), but other charges to certain merchants that exceeded $3500.00.  This is the very first time I ever used this card and I am certain that HCCUA is responsible.  I'm not sure if the agent that took my information used my credit card to make these on-line purchases or if my information was sold.  There is an on-going investigation with the credit card fraud and possibly identity theft.  I have obtained an attorney and am filing suit.  Anyone is better off with no insurance than considering HCCUA.

I worked for this company and it is a mini med program that pays a specific $ amount per benefit. It is certainly not major medical and customers normally have lots of problems with their customer service. This limited coverage certainly do not cover catastrophic.

Same thing is happening to me. I can't close my acct and the bank said they can't stop it. 3 months now. They were supposed to lower it to the 150 plan in May. But they claim they never got the 2 e-mails or the 6 requests for a manager to call me back. If there is a class action suite, I'll join. STREET106@AOL.COM

Run KC!! Run!!! They don't pay for anything. I have so many medical bills, and collection agencies for what they claimed they would pay. It would have been cheaper for me to just expire than for all the cost of the emergency room. Intensive care was the icing on the cake. Now my credit is ruined, they want to take my house,, and I got a death sentence that simple shots could reverse, but they don't cover interferon.. Run as fast as you can. It's cheaper to pay out of pocket.

This is a scam insurance Company. For about twice what I was paying I could have had real insurance. I have over $11,000 in medical and they refused to pay one dime. I payed about $3200 to them in premiums.

Now I come to find out they were not even supposed to be selling insurance in MN and no longer offer it to MN. residents.

I was told someone filed a complaint with the MN. Attorney General. Must be why when I had a friend call they will not sell to MN customers anymore.

Stay away. Cancel ASAP and Cancel your credit card too or they will charge you to the day you die. If I would have put the $3200.00 in  the bank I would at least had that to pay off on the +$11,000. Now I own $11481.44 in Medical and am out the $3200.00 as well.
