I received a call from this number on 12-26. When I picked up no one answered and that was the end of the call.

It's Verizon Wireless sales trying to upsell or downsell you based on your existing usage. They called me on Friday and again today.

yeah they been calling me for a few days now.12/24,26,27 and 29th. if it is verizon sales thats not going to fly form me.

I just recieved a call from this number also... I wasnt able to pick up... they didnt leave a message though!

This number called yesterday and today

i was just called from this number. the guy said he was from verizon and that i had gone over my minutes. i asked him why he called me for that? he said to let me know. i told him i've got a plan for my minutes, he said he was going to check that on my account, then said yes you do have a plan. then he asked me to verify the last 4 digits of my ssn. i told him i didn't believe he was verizon, he thanked me and gave told me a verizon number to call if i had questions and we hung up.

MAWK, thank you for that bit of info. I got a call from this number a few days ago and again today. Now I know why I'm not answering it.

I got a call from this number Saturday telling me that our account used the internet and had charges. (which could have been true as we just got a new phone and had been playing with all the features) The lady told me she was showing that we were never asked to use a free trial and would I like to add it to offset the charges we would see on our account. I said ok, but she never asked me to verify my SSN or any other numbers. However, I did get a call from the same number just a few minutes ago. I missed the call, but they didn't leave a message. I find this strange.  Has anyone noticed any funky charges on their account?

I actually just called Verizon (after that last post because I was sorta freaking out) and he said that the number I saw was their Marketing service, and they do make phone calls. I asked him if he could verify that someone from Verizon called by looking at my plan and he said that yes, on Saturday someone from Verizon called.

They probably aren't leaving messages because it is just a marketing call.  But- I just wanted you to know that I called and I feel better about the phone conversation I had with the Verizon caller from the 888 number.

They called me three times today - when i picked up no one answered. so i had to call back and the guy told me it was because i was over my minutes. before i gave him any information, i went online to check - i have used only 89 of my 450 minutes this month...It is suspect. Don't talk to them.

Thank Goodness because since I had recently added a new cell number to my plan I actually verified the info and agreed to a free trial of vcast on my son's plan.  However, now I'm confused it looks like there is a per song charge as well as a monthly fee.

I rec'd a call with no message.  When I called back the number a recording came on and said that all operators are busy, stay on the line and hold for the next Verizon rep.  I didn't wait . . . I think it's really rude to call and leave no message and if this is a sales call this type of behavior is not going to gain a sale.

I received a call from 888-293-0821 on the 26th and 27th of February, 2009. I didn't pick up and no one left a message. It was definitely an unsolicited call.

I'm sure I'll get another this evening and at least 1 tomorrow.  I'm already a Verizon customer and have been for a few years now.  However, if this keeps up, I may just go to another provider (HEY VERIZON!  ARE YOU READING THIS?!?!??!)

Just got a call today (Sat, 3-21) at 11:48 am.  Seriously, who calls on a saturday?

This number has been calling me everyday for the last couple of weeks. They never leave a voice message.

This # is from a Verizon Wireless call center. They call and try to get you to upgrade your plan. They don't leave messages because they know you won't call them back. Either ignore the calls when they come or answer the phone and tell them to stop calling.

I receive daily phone calls from this number and of course no one is ever on the other end.  I used my house phone to call this number back today because I am sick of the daily nuisance calls.  When I spoke to the gentleman on the other end he asked for my cell phone number, my name, the last four numbers of my social and my cell phone password.  I gave him my cell number and first name but told him that I refused to give him the last four numbers of my social and my password.  He said that he could no go any further in discussing my account.  I told him that my wish was that he/the company would quit making annoying phone calls to me on a daily basis.  He said that he would see what he could do about that and hung up!
