collection agency, for government etc... who wants to pay money, but they were willing to work out a deal because i was nice with them.

Talked to Melia Andrade about a debt collection. She was extreamly rude and inconsiderate. She wouldnt listen to what i had to say and seemed to care less what came out of my mouth.

Was contacted by these people, Have my SS#, it is a collection agency, that says they are contracted by the treasury dept. I contacted (by phone and email) treasury Dept, They have never heard of them, and do not contract collection agencies. The lady I spoke to at UCS Candace Alvarez, told me I needed to pay an amount the was the original amount received plus 40% in penalties fees and interest. No negotiation.

After speaking to Treasury, contacting my Bank. I have decided this is scam!!!!

Did you pay them? I think its a scam, please beware.

My wife was called and they wouldn't speak to me, try to bully her, said she owed the government but wouldn't provide any details. Agrre it sounds like a scam

A woman identifying herself as Rosalyn Clancy left a message on my machine this evening. She didn't say who she was with, just gave this number and an ext. 3626. I just got my tax refund check from the treasury dept yesterday, so I know I don't owe the gov't any money. We'll see if it shows up again.

Received a phone call this evening from Marilyn Montanez who claimed that I had an outstanding debt in the amount of $824.92 for which Diversified Collection Services was collecting for the Department of Treasury.  She refused to provide any details.  This is a scam.  I don't have and have never had any unpaid debts.

Im having the exact same problem, a woman name Rosalyn Clancy who say she work for the Department of Treasury and her ext. is 3626. I really wish somebody would tell me if this woman is for real.

Has she called you anymore since then? What all did you do to take care of this matter? We got the same type of call from the same woman just the other day.

Got a call from a lady today named Tara Riddle, saying I owe more than $600. She was very rude, and short. I asked about my debt and she spoke quickly and incoherently. She did give me a federal case number.

I just got a call from them today.

Woman's name was Elizabeth Nielson (I think that was her last name but she spoke really fast) and her ext is 3746.  She didn't leave any details except that she was with DCS.

I see alot of people thinking this is a scam. Has anybody found them to be legit?

So I just did a little research and they are a legit collection agency that is contracted by the gov't.

They took my federal taxes because of business line of credit that was backed by the Small Business Administration. They are not a scam.

has anyone given money to this DCS company? I called the military number on t his link and there is no record of a debt. I think this is a scam. No one answers the phone at DCS. And they have access to phone numbers and information that should not be available to them.

They called my place of work but never called my house I highly find this odd as I never give out my work number

I received a call today requesting if I knew a person who lived across the street from me. Asked if I knew how many people lived in the house. I could give no information. Asked me to contact Chris Short at 888=310-2006, ext. 3535, if I found any information. I checked the caller ID after hanging up and found the number to be from Dayton, 937-396-6023. The male stated that when I called back the answerer would say I was calling "DCS", Of course, I am not going to call this number or report anything.

My husband received a phone call from DCS stating he owed $8,000+ in taxes to Virginia from 2000 and 2002. The DCS guy tricked me into giving him my husband’s contact information and the name of his work. I was very angry. He demanded immediate payment and threatened to garnish his wages. Thankfully I am not that naive. I am a paralegal and am familiar with the Fair Credit and Trade Act. Further, involved my employer. We put DSC on notice that their actions would be monitored by the North Carolina Department of Insurance and we would require proof of any alleged debt. Their proof was a printout of the computer screen noting my husbands name and listing his supposed debt (bogus debt) to Virginia. My employer sent them a letter stating there was insufficient proof of any debt. He also told him he had done his research and was aware of their egregious behavior. North Carolina does not allow its citizens to be harrassed. They will not allow 100% garnishment of anyone’s wages. They will not collect another state’s debts either.

DCS is dangerous. They have given nearly half a million dollars to politicians and were involved in that Tom Dellay scandal. They are definitely evil. I have contacted an attorney who specializes in litigation against collection agencies to see if he can provide more informaation.

Do not allow DCS to rule your life.

I called and spoke to Rosalyn, told her not to call again. Do not know if this will work but I tried.
I do not owe anyone and do not know why this person is calling me.
