Asked for an ex who used my address from three years ago, guessing they were either phishing or a debt collector. Claimed to be an office of Ms. ____ Ortiz, didn't catch the first name.

Asked for my ex who I haven't been in contact with for years.

Called my place of employment- only left name

Call left on answering machine to call Jake Curtis, I called he answered phone immediately it went to voicemail I didn't leave msg...collections.

That number and THIS NUMBER 702-425-3194  belongs to a collector named Jack Curtis with Central Portfolio Control. They are a scare tactic collection center that buys bulk accounts and then threatens the account holders with both legally and mentally. They can't do anything like that.  When you ask for information, THAT THEY ARE REQUIRED MY LAW TO GIVE YOU, they'll give you the runaround.

Called after they left message with company name and they were a debt collector.  When answered the company name was not used, I asked if this was Central Portfolio (the number left on the message).  They would not give me the debt information they were calling about until I verified information they were spouting - most of which was incorrect.  I told them I would not verify anything until they told me who supposed was trying to collect from me (shouldn't be anyone).  At that point they then told me they could not continue until I verified the information.  I told them I would not do that until they told me who was trying to collect.  At that point they told me they could not move forward.  Guessing they are phishing for info.
