got a call from this number saying i was about to be served for something but didn't give details. when i calledthe number they listed for me to call it was not a valid number. plus the two numbers were in  totally different states. seems fishy to me.

Never said who the call was intended for.  Stated I was going to be served and state law says they have to give me 24 hr to respond before they summons.  Whatever.  Crock of crap.  This is the third call I've gotten like this.  The last two calls gave the ssn of the person they are looking for and it's not mine.  When I go to call the numbers back I can never get through.

My brother got a call the other night from 855-2087341 saying they were looking for me and were going to file a case with my ss#, they left a number which I called, it rang and rang and went to a voice mail eventually.  I did not leave a msg.  Today he got a call from 888-319-3217 R & R Law Firm in New York...very rude man on the line asking questions about me using my maiden name which I haven't used since 1986 by the way.  His name is Jonathan Harris and he stated he was filing a civil suit with my ss#.  I called the number back and it didn't even ring.  I tried numerous times.  I need them to quit calling my family whoever they are!  Any ideas???

I received a call from 888-319-3217. They stated their company name was R & L Capital on my voicemail but they never included who the message was intended for. I was a little apprehensive at first but I'm glad I did call. Come to find out there was a civil complaint looking to be placed against my name and ssn. I have dealt with civil complaints before and this company provided me the best out of court settlement I've ever received. I would call this number back just to make sure the case isn't for you.

Thanks for proving that you are correct (This number is a scam) & the other posters are SHILLS! It is illegal for a debt collector to give someone's SSN over the phone (If it is not who they are calling) & REAL debt collector's know that.

Total Scam!! R & D Capital is the company name he said.  Stated that if I didn't pay them RIGHT NOW that I would be charged with a misdemeanor. Very rude and unprofessional man. Stated that I needed to 'pay my bills'. I do pay my bills... and won't be giving any money to you!  I am contacting my lawyer to prevent them from calling my old employer from 10 years ago that they keep harrassing!

The message is the same as the others except it is a woman stating her name is Miranda Wilson, and she is calling to get and confirm my statement. as there was a fraud committed against one of my accounts I hold in my name. But never stated the name she was referring to or any other identifying information that she may have contacted the correct party intended. But she was from R & L Rossi law firm, and I had 48 hrs to reply or legal papers would be issued to the local law enforcement for someone at my address. The message and law firm is the same as another call I received earlier in the week except it was from a guy at that same firm. I think it is a scam for them to collect personal information and rip people off. Oh when I looked up the phone number the caller called me on it came up as a bath tub fitting company in NY - go figure. Notice in this blog there is a advertisement for a bath tub finishing company - hmmm real suspicous go figure. I am not ssying don't call but something is not adding up when others called the number back no answer, rude individuals answering, and one out many states it is the best thing that ever happened they got a settlement etc.

I don' work for the company... Their company is located in NY I live in Henderson, NV. Im just adv that I worked with them I'm happy with the results. I will laugh when you receive your court documents and cant get an out of court settlement. I spoke with the attnys and had my attny look over the paperwork prior to paying this company is legit!

Your snotty attitude sounds like the same man I spoke with earlier! Don't worry the conversation was recorded and has already been sent to my lawyer. If I have anything to do with it you won't be able to scam anyone else!

A couple of us who work at the same place have been receiving calls from this number lately.  We thought it was weird individually, but when 3 of us all were getting nearly identical calls, I knew something was up.  I started researching to find out if the company was legit at all.  Of course, on every single one of these forums, that verbatim positive comment shows up.  Either that person got FOOLED big time or they work for the company.  Regardless, I was pretty confident in my research but then I decided to call the number and ask for their website.  The lady who answered got really nervous and weird when I simply asked for the website.  "Uhhh, I don't know that", she says, "why do you need to know that?"  I kinda laughed and told her I didn't understand what she meant that she doesn't know and I just need the web address.  She continued to be super SHADY and kept asking why I needed to know.  She finally said she didn't have that information and was sorry she couldn't help me and then hung up on me.  These people are trying to collect matching names, DOBs, and SS#s so they can scam you.  They even get bold and demand money right then and there.  IF THESE PEOPLE CALL YOU, REPORT THEM TO THE BBB AND ANYONE ELSE YOU CAN THINK TO REPORT THEM TO.  Think of the awful things they are doing to the elderly and naive.  It's just awful

The one guy I talked to on this company his name is Mr. Stone. He was breathing and snorting into the phone. Sounded like he was eating a sandwich. Unprofessional and uncourteous!!!

I worked with Mr. Stone also, He gave me a settlement offer on an account that I had with First National Bank. I owed 1000 he got me a deal to pay it off for 351.11. I was very happy i felt like i had a dark cloud hanging over my head with this matter being outstanding. He was very professional and helped me resolve my bill. I dont understand how you could say such rude things about people.It really makes you look like a fool. Just sayin'

Call my cell phone, she gave the name Maranda Johnson from R&R Capital, gave the phone number of 1 888 319-3217.  Ms. Johnson said I was going to be serviced with some type of action, didn't give any details.  This has been going on for about four months.

If you owe a debt pay it and you wont recieve calls!!!! Simple as that!!! Use some common sense!!!! If you owe a creditor money, pay them.....If you can somehow prove that this isnt your debt, the wrong number has been called or that you paid the account, dispute it properly to the company and they will stop calling you. I guarentee it. The reason they have your personal information is simply because you owe the loan with the original creditor and they are trying to collect the deliquent balance. Also be sure to check your credit report in alot of cases the accounts are on your credit report and are affecting your credit. Use your heads people!!! This is def not a scam. The are debt collectors.

Do not call if you want to know if a case exist for you, then pull the web page for your local state court. It will show all civiil and criminal cases filed. Also call the local sheriff's office . They can not do anything without filing with the two agencies listed above. The positive post are from the collection agency hired to obtain the debt. They are breaking the law. and in Jan. Voicemail post are ILLEGAL. They need a real job.

Then pay the original creditor, not catchpenny bottom-feeders.
