888-324-5132

This is the number that showed up on my caller ID for the call I got from "Amber at x221" from the "National Call Center."  The voice was prerecorded.  She said I had entered a drawing for a Ford Hybrid and other prizes at a shopping mall or online in the past year.  I was to call Amber back at 888-648-2798.  (Search this site for THAT number to see all of the similar calls.  Looks like everyone, me included, reported the problem with the number we were supposed to call back, rather than the one they called from; I'm reposting my entry under the correct number.)

When I called back, the conversation went like this:
Dude:  "Amber isn't here but I can help you.  So you are married, single, widowed, or divorced?"
Me:  "Yes, I am one of those things."
Dude:  "Which one?"
Me:  "Ummm...why does THAT matter?"
Dude:  <fumbles phone> CLICK

Response: Picked up thinking it was a legitimate company. I introduced myself and they hanged up. Will not be picking up for this number in the future.
Previous Calls: none.

We got a call from this number but didn't pick it up because we didn't recognize it. Based on these posts, we won't be picking it up any time soon, either.

Just got a call as well from these guys.  When I called back to check on the validity of this and told them I haven't entered any contests, they said I must have and I won one of four prizes of which the top prize was a 2011 Escalade (the message said Ford, hmmmm).  Big time scam.

Got a voicemail of a lady named amber, prerecorded also,
telling me that I had filled out a entry form in a mall or movie theater in the past 12 months then saying I had won a 2011 Ford Hybrid.
I wrote down the number she had left which is 888-648-2798. I called that and got a guy asking how old I was and said 22 then transferred me to a chick but that eventually hung up on me.
Totally BS.

Didn't pick up. No message either.

The caller hung up when I answered. I've now blocked the number.

Just received a call on my cell from this number.  Figured it was a scam, but decided to Google it and see what came up.  Aw man, you mean I DIDN'T win a piece of crap Ford?!  ;)

I just received a prerecorded message from Amber on my cell phone about something I have won because my name was pulled last night.  It said to call back 888-648-2798, ext. 221.  Thanks for the info here because I won't bother calling them back.

Got the same message from Amber about the Ford hybrid and some contest or something I filled out somewhere.  and to call back ext. 221.  it's a ruse to sell something probably.  And a sneaky way to get around the Do Not Call Registry...  So they think...

Called my cell 4:58 this afternoon. Hung up as soon as I picked up. Thanks for the information.

Got a call, did not pick it up. Got same pre-recorded message about crappy Ford and same phone number for Amber. Stored both numbers in my "Auto-reject" list.

I'm lucky that all i got when i answered the phone was a hang up.

Had a call from the same number, same person, same extension.  I never win anything, and I know I didn't enter any such contest.  Glad I googled it just to verify what I already suspected.  Wouldn't have minded winning a Ford, though.  Too bad.

Got the call, and against my better judgment, answered it. They hung up. Tried to call back and got the 'subscriber is not available' robot reply.

Just received a call stating the same thing everyone here has. I've filed a complaint with the FCC do-not-call complaint center. Took me 5 minutes. I suggest everyone here do the same.

I am receiving a call from the number above on my prepaid cell and do not want to continue receiving calls or messages from this number

Calls from this number coming in on my pre paid cell phone. I do not want to receive calls from this number. I try calling back and get no one. I tried pushing the button to discontinue and the keep calling.
