message on ans machine just sounds like a scam

some one from "hp locate". the man left a voicemail saying he worked with a private investigator..go figure

Got several calls from this number by a company called HP Locate.  They were looking for an extended family member.  Wouldn't answer my basic questions regarding why they were calling or needed to get in touch with this person.  But they were very insistent that I give them information.  I didn't even acknowledge that I knew the person they were looking for.

I didn't answer. They left a message saying they were a company called HP Locate. Apparently it was a time sensitive matter and I needed to call back within the next 24 hours. I won't be calling anyone back who doesn't leave enough information.

They make it sound very ominous - like you MUST call or something bad will happen.

Someone called looking for a cousin that I have not spoke with for some time! Scam!!! They even called my sister about the same thing! I would not call back! The guy tool me off his list.

Called several times. Company  (I think they said HP Locate or HPOP), looking for relative who hasn't lived at this number over 10 years.    Whoever called spoke so fast couldn't really understand but made it sound like was of utmost importance to call back.  Will not respond, have no info anyway.

Still getting calls (about 5-6 now) from company called HP Locate saying they are working with a private investigator and I MUST call within 24 hours - time sensitive matter - even starting to sound a little rude when they leave a message.  

I won't return their call when they can't leave more information.  Sounds like a scam to me!

I also received a call for HP Locate telling me I was under investigation, that they needed information from me and to call 888-331-1438 by the end of the day..

The type of call claimed to be an investigation company.

Getting calls multiple times a week. Looking for  my brother.  now there calling my neighbors. Won't leave a company name. Just that his name is Ryan and it is a private matter.

Received a few voice mails from HP locate, Mr Denman, or something like that. Said he was a P.I. & my phone number may or may not have  come up in his investigation, so I should call him right back. I RUSHED TO MY PHONE &  promptly,......deleted his message.

Got several calls from this number; finally answered and "Jeanne" from "HP Locate" wanted me to contact my next-door neighbor and ask them to call 888-331-1438 to get some "time-sensitive information."  I asked her why didn't they just call my neighbor since the number is in the phone book.  She said they had tried and tried and would appreciate anything I could do to get this information to my neighbor. Sounds fishy to me.

Identified himself as a HP Locate private investigator, badge A17155 stating my number came up in a case he was investigating and to return the call to see if my phone number was really connected to his case.

Receiving calls from H.P. Locate,  I.D. #A17155.  My phone number is coming up in an investigation he is working on, return call to see if it is valid.  I'm finding lots of people are getting the same call.  I will not be returning his call.

My phone # is on the Do Not Call list. I do not want to receive calls from this solicitor!!!!

I keep getting messages from "H P Locate ". They say they are trying to reach a neighbor next to me. I do not know them. I will not give any info. This is harrassment .

I have received multiple calls from this H P LOCATE. The phone numbers change each time I block them.
