Yes, they say it's from Rogers

I have been getting regular calls from here too.  They say it's Rogers calling to collect, but I don't have a Rogers account and they do not use my name.  Interestingly, the calls come in to my work Blackberry so maybe they assume I am a Rogers customer.

this is a collection agency and they are very rude ,i contacted rogers to find out that my bill was 188.90 and that crs was trying to collect 400 from me

Call saying they are from Rogers. Called Rogers as my bill is not outstanding and they have no record of this company. Scam, I do believe.

I got their call saying "your Rogers account is not outstanding" and telling me to call back at this No. I called rogers customer service and their representative told me that everything with my account was fine!

I have been receiving calls from 1-888-332-2284 and a recorded message tells me that my Rogers bill is outstanding and that I need to phone them back to resolve this issue. I do not have a Rogers account. I did phone Rogers to verify that this is their actual phone number and they said it is. I then asked them to remove my number from their system and he told me that my number was not in their system and couldn't understand why I was getting these calls from them, and since my number or any of my information was not in the system he could not help me. I made a call to my phone service provider to complain and they told me not to worry about it so there was no help from there either. I did phone the 1-888-332-2284 number to tell them they have the wrong number and when you phone back all you get is another voice recording and put you on hold and then send your call straight to voice mail. I left a message stating I do not have an account with you this is my phone number .... please stop calling. I hope this works if not I don't know what else to do.

I got 2 calls from them. My Rogers account is not outstanding.
Can't even register a complaint agaist them with National Do Not Call List as such calls are not considered telemarketing calls.

My wife has been harassed by this collecton agency for the last year.  She has paid the outstanding amount from rogers, not once, but twice, and they are still calling.

I just got one of these calls from the crs but they were looking for a kristen something. I'm assuming this is the case: phone numbers are recycled by rogers, meaning that after a period of time (usually 3 months), a cencelled phone number will be re-issued as available.
So if the previous owner had an outstanding balance, then the lucky person who picked up the number would get this phone call since rogers wouldn't bother updating the collection agency. Very unprofessional, but meh.. business is business..
One way of avoiding the calls would to call them back and claim you're not the person (even if you are.. they wouldn't know..)

These people not only harass our 80 year old friend.  They phone us everyday at least 4 times.  Too make matters worse, this bill has not been paid just once, but twice - and they still phone.

hwell i got the same call here too, voice recording asking me to pay my outstanding Rogers acct, cept theyre calling for some other person.

they called me again today, this time i waited on hold...AND...i actually talked to a rep, lol yes there is a REAL person on that other end!!

by then i was gettin frustrated(about 10 mins on hold)so i told them flatly stop calling my #, no one by the name is here. but she kept going on and on about, are you sure theyre not there?? you really dont know them?? lol  quite amusing

so i called Rogers and explained what was happening, they assured me they DO NOT know who this 888# is and that either someone is using my(our)cell# for fraudulant reasons(eg, made up a number on the spot)OR its a scam and theyre trying to get our personal info(credit cards for payment, etc)so to be on the safe side, either keep hanging up, block the #...or yell at them to vent your frustraion lol

UGH! I'm so frustrated with this damn number. We got 5 (yes FIVE!) calls between 8am to 11am today (and I don't even know how much with this week alone). I picked it up once and all I got was dead air, hung up and it called about 50 minutes later >.<. Now I'm finding out it's rogers, which we don't bloody have and never did have a rogers ANYTHING (no phone, no service, no rogers movie card, Nada).

I might have to try the above's idea of using them to vent my frustration, if I ever get to talk to a rep.

I'm also in the not having any Rogers services boat, and had received this call, naturally I don't answer anymore from numbers that are not known to me, so I found it on here.

I keep a real loud whistle next to my phone for exactly this situation it gets the message across loud and clear

I am absolutely fed up with this annoying [***] calling me.  The other morning the calls started at 7:20 a.m. amd continued 3 more times before 8 a.m.  Then throughout the day she called, and once more at night.  Every day I get these calls.  I'm with Rogers but never have I been in arrears with Rogers....cable and cell are paid through Visa.  I no longer answer the call.  I just pick it up and hang up or let it go to voice mail.
Another number that keeps calling is 1-866-830-7434 and they too claim to be calling on behalf of Rogers!
