I received a message telling me that my identity protection plan had expired.  I did not sign up for any identity protection plan.  I had better not get any charges from this company regardless of a breach or whatever.  If I do receive any charges, they will see what breach is really all about. This is not a threat, this is a promise.

Correct, Debix.  If you had signed up for their services or received them free due to a data breach where your info may have been exposed, they are probably contacting you to tell you that the service has expired.  Mine was a recorded message.

This is a call from Debix, it's a legitimate # their website www.debix.com, a fraud protection service.

This is a fraud protection reporting company that notifies you of any new credit activity. My calls were in regard to a new credit card I just opened and they wanted to verify that it was indeed from me. Good service!

This is Debix. In my case it was automatic message and it has ended before my voice mail turned on. This might be the reason why there's no message.

I missed calls from this number and then quickly realized I had signed up with them through a Hospital Breach I was in.  Call them back and press option 1 then option 3 to reach customer support.  They will tell you why they called.  Very nice people! Really good service!

I received several calls from this number, I was finally annoyed enough that I called them and spoke to a live rep. I was registered through a security breach through an ex employer at no cost to me, its an electronic credit monitoring system, any changes made to my credit report, I get an alert call to verify, if its fraud then I can speak to their investigation department to close the account, report it to the police and have it removed from my credit file. To make the calls stop you have to respond to the alert, call their customer service department.

well if they are calling that number someone is probably  registered with their service and has that number down, so call them and you can let them know it is your mother number and that someone has a wrong number registered, they do credit monitoring and I use their service, I had such good service that i started googling to see if everyone else experience was as good as mine.  I too had no idea who they were when i recieved my first alert but when I called them they were able to find my account and remind me of the time that a company lost all of my identifying info and offered me the service free for like a years.  the service has come in so handy!

I received a call from this number. I recognized the name of the company but wanted to make sure they were who they said they were. I went to the information I had on file from when I was registered for one free year due to a security breach. This was the first call I had received. I had never actually followed up with registering with Debix but did at this time. They informed me of recent activity on my credit report. The activity was accurate. I don't know if I will renew on a paying basis when the free year expires but I am giving it some serious thought.

Too bad the call type drop down menu doesn't accurately reflect their type of call. It wasn't actually a reminder just an advisement of activity.

I was suspicious at first, but I called back, and they actually are a legit service I signed up with when I got insurance, they called me to see if recent credit activity was done by me, and it was. Nice people actually, glad I called back.

How long have you been working this scam?

Debix is indeed a company that investigates credit card fraud and notifies you when something unusual has occurred to your credit card or credit situation.  Some of my personal info apparently went to the wrong company.   So the erring company bought this service for me for a year.  I signed up.   You actually login to your account using your cellphone.  Interesting.
They do not call you unless there's a legitimate reason (like your credit has an unexpectedly large charge or some such).

It's not a scam.  It's a company for people whose credit has been compromised (often through no fault of their own).
