this is a company called american premire satellite and is almost exactly like the real dish network tech support phone # of 1-800-333-3474 when called they try to make you switch to direct tv

I was helped by a very dishonest employee who led me to believe that I was talking with Dish Network and signed me up for Directv (without disclosing it) and caused me a lot of grief.

They are a promotions department for Dish Satellite. They gave me a free hd box and they  automatically discounted my bill because they are a promotions line.

The people who own the number 888-333-DISH are nothing but lowlife scumbag crooks that will lie to you to trick you into switching you DISH Network service to Directv.

If you want the the REAL DISH Network call 1-800-333-DISH, the whole purpose of this company having the "888" version of DISH Networks main telephone number is because they know on any given day so many people will mis-dial the number, and they are hoping as an existing DISH Network customer somehow they lie to you to switch to Directv.

If you are unfortunate to accidently dial "888" instead of 800 when calling 800-333-DISH they are pretty much gonna lie to you and say anything they can to trick you into switching to Directv.

My husband "accidently" called this number thinking it was the Dish network.  He was just calling because something was wrong with our satellite.  They led him to believe this was Dish and they would upgrade us.  Well, he agreed, and because I take care of all the bills, he didn't realize Dish already had all our information.  He gave all info to them , and now we have a $50.00 charge on our account.  He tried to call and cancel this after realizing this was Direct TV, and they were very rude about it.  Needless to say, they said they would refund our money, but it has not been refunded.  Live and learn

Your $50 is not gone for good, call your credit card company and dispute the charges.  Without a signed invoice and no services rendered they have not a leg to stand on!

I actually worked for these people for about 4 days. They fired me when I questioned them about the legitimacy of the service as Dish1Up sells Directv, NOT Dish Network. My managers name was Joe Cugini (I think I spelled it right - they only used last initials for the most part). They did tell me that the company buys up 800/888/866 numbers that end in numbers that spell DISH (as Dish Network does). They also have 888-386-3474
Their address (one of them) is 1557 St Clair Ave. Cleveland, OH. They have another office in Twinsburg OH. The following numbers lead to the managers.

I am feeling very uncomfortable, too.  I got one of those calls and things seemed to be going fine - I gave my address and name and then she asked for my social security number.  I asked for a number to call her back.  I had already given her the first six digits and then got nervous - she told me "don't worry, you can give me the last four digits, I didn't write anything down."  I couldn't figure out why they asked for my social so soon in the conversation.  I am grateful to discover that even though scum, they at least are a real company.

We just called this number thinking it was dish network, they tried to tell us our contract was up and our equipment was no good so they needed to replace all of our equipment w/ Directv equipment because Directv is buying out Dish Network.  I thought it seemed suspicious so we said we would call back.  Then my son said Dish Network is 1800333DISH. They would have scammed us right out of our Dish Network!! He even said he was from Dish Network!

It is very easy to manipulate this type of document.  Anyone can post a message here, and it is not authenticated in any way.

DONT EVER YOU DISH NETWORK.  THEY ARE NOTHING BUT LIARS AND SCUM BAGS.   They came and installed the dish and receiver at a charge of $150.00, it worked one day, and I had to call for a repair.  I have had Dish Network for 3 weeks and have had to call 4 times to fix the reception.  On my 5th call they no longer answer the office phone or cell phone or return any messages that I have left for repair.  So I have been defrauded of $150.00 never was able to watch any programs and have had nothing but great disappointed and aggravation!  And to top it off I get NO HELP from them, they should be ashamed of themselves for stealing money from people, shame on them.

"Screwed Over", did you read the above post before you started typing??? This is a thread about DirecTv and how people switch from Dish to Direct. Maybe you should call the number listed on the top of this page and switch to DirecTv. Also, I have a hard time believing that Dish Network is not answering "your" calls... now that I think about it, your whole post makes no sense. FYI- DirectTv gets a better signal then Dish Network. I have had both.

I called this # to pay my bill and found out I had called the wrong number. They told me they were a dealer of dtv. I had been thinking about getting them anyways because I just got a new hd tv (50 in) and best buy suggested I get dtv. Anyways I just got it because the deal was great and I have to say I really like it so far. The hddvr I got was free and has like 400 hours of recording time. Dish would not give me a new receiver since I already have them.

They are a retailer for Directv. That's it. There's no scamming being involved. I mean do you really think Directv would be doing business with them otherwise?

I looked them up and they're actually one of their biggest retailers. They do have a number similar to Dish Network, but that's just smart marketing. They fully disclose who they are and what they do when you call. Don't believe me? Just call them up and ask them who they are.

These people above are just a bunch of cry babies. You're better off with Directv anyway.

You just could not  hack it! Maybe you got fired for being a liar. This company is doing nothing wrong, I am sure of that. Grow up and find something better to do with your time than bad something that you can not appreciate

These people called me to say that my debit card would be charged if I didn't return the 'equipment' belonging to Dish Network. I do not and have never had Dish Network. The recording advised me to call 1-800-333-3474. I didn't call. I googled the phone number instead and found this page to report this number.

rks, did it occur to you that it was probably just whoever had your phone number before that hadn't returned their equipment? Or one of their customers gave them the wrong number?

I really don't think the actual Dish Network (which is the 800 number you cited, not the 888 this page is about) is in the business of calling random people and, uh... tricking them into thinking they forgot they had cancelled dish network and not returned the receviers. Who on earth would fall for such a scam?!

The company left a message said that my dish network pay due and I need to call this number 888-333-3474 for payment. When I called they got my home phone number.

Yeah.  I accidentally called this number and was told a bunch of crap by some moron who tried in vain to get me to switch to Directv.  I would not go back to directv if I was offered a lump sum of cash.  These people are dishonest from the start with having a phone number that is so close to Dish Network (which is far superior).
