chick keeps calling trying to get my husband to pay some old "debts" we don't even know about

I got a call from 8009277667 and they left this number for me to call.  Both numbers appear to be collection agencies from my research but the message left on my voice mail was about an application that I "filled out" and they're trying to get a hold of one of my references.

Said his name was Jason and left an extension - 6736

Did not answer, as I did not recognize the number. Called back from work line and automated operator identified company as DCS.

john michaels called about a student loan default says the government will garnish wages a judge will send me to court paperwork will be sent within 2-3 days would not give more information.  NUMBER IS 325-224-6341 EXT.6341

Received a Call from a young lady stating her name was Melissa and wanted me to get a message to one of my neighbors because she could not get a hold of her. Left two telephone numbers for contact; 1-888-335-6267 X6706 or 325-224-6706.

My mother received a call from a DCS Rep. "Carmen". She asked for my number. My mother in law told her she would have her to call me. I called 888-335-6267. Someone asked for my social security number. I asked if there was another way I could be identified. Of course not. Anyway after all that I wasn't the person they were looking for. Wondering if it was a real company or some type of scam to get my social security number

Received a call from someone named Debby Wright calling from DCS Company. Her number is 888 335-6267. She said she was trying to reach one of my neighbors and could not get in contact with her. She gave me her address wanted me to get in contact for her. I started thinking and was wondering is this for real. Why don't you just send her letter. She wouldn't tell me why she was trying to contact her. Wondering if this is a scan.

Just recieved a call from Kim Wise, wanting me to give her number and extension to a neighbor that I'm pretty sure has no debt. I got to thinking that this might be a scam.  Be forewarned, if they are calling about your neighbors whose to say they are not calling about you! When I asked her what it was regarding she spouted off something about a privacy act but then, why is she calling neighbors if this is so private.  I will not be giving social security numbers and info to this company.

Yeah i just got a call from them..have been for weeks..they finally left me a message. For one they called me by the wrong last name. I'm the youngest of 4 and i have a different dad...they called me by their last name...ive NEVER had that as mine. They called my sister weeks ago asking for my number saying her name was melissa. Now all the sudden its blair or something contacting me...i've never had a credit card, student loan or anything..i have NO credit yet..so if they're calling for the same reason they called you guys then this has to be a scam! Thats not even my name and if it were true they'd know my name...am i right!? They called from 2 different 325 numbers...and told me to call this 888 number back.

keep calling but under a 325 number left a message with family to have me call some Sam person .. however whenever they call they will not leave voicemail . i figure if they are real and really want me they would leave message

Same as many of the complaints as before, I got a call from 325-224-6737 inquiring about my neighbor.  Not sure why they were calling, so I just said I would "take a message" for the neighbor.  Then I looked on here and saw all of these complaints.  Needless to say, I will not be giving this info to my neighbor.  I don't want him to be scammed!  I was given a call back number of 888-335-6237.

Caller reported an outstanding debt of $107,000. Said it was a mix up. I found their Web site. www.dcswins.com

There is NO ACTUAL DCS. It's a scam. They tell you bogus info that makes you take the defensive. They already have your personal info. Watch your credit line. Contact me if you need to. milkamania69@yahoo.com      I'll tell ya what i did to prevent the worst from happening to my credit.

Left a long, detailed, and personally informational message on an answering machine in the work lounge. I am now suing the company for violation of confidentiality laws and for leaving personal information on a non-private answering system. He was told not to call here again.

A person named Jason Stevenson left message on my answering machine that my name had been left as a reference, and to call him back at 888-335-6267 ext. 6736. Think this might be a doctor's collection service.

This individual has called my place of work multiple times.  Her name is Mandy and her extension number is 6561

Keep calling and never leave a message. Today I picked up phone thinking it was from someone we knew. NO way. It was from the number 888-335-6267 asking for my son's phone number. I asked why. They gave no response other than they needed to talk with him. Our son has not lived at home for twelve years. I said I'd take their number and let our son know about this number and extension.

Not knowing what this was I did a phone number search and came to this site. I'm with the rest of you wondering if this is a scam which is a scary thought.

Actually "JustAnnoyed", you are breaking laws that govern collection activities in a myriad of ways.  Don't believe me? Check the web.. this site, ripoffreport, etc.. just to name a few.  You're practices are underhanded (and at times, illegal), you're representatives are rude and obnoxious, and you're threats are without merit.  I am personally writing several complaints to the FTC in regards to numerous Fair Debt Collections Act violations and am contacting my attorney to pursue further action against your firm, and encourage anyone else who feels the same to do likewise.
