SCAM! BoA already has the info and only needs your card number if you call them.   If you suspect a problem with your BoA card always call the number on the card even if the call sounds legit.  There are too many phising efforts out there to not be wary of these type of calls.

Recieved a text from wells fargo saying my card was deactivated. I called back it asked for my ssn. Thinking this was legitimate I gave my info. It kept me in a loop saying I provided invalid info. I hung up. I called wells fargo customer service and was told my card was fibe. My daughter looked on line and found this info. What do I do now?

Received a text with an 888 number, identifying as Wells Fargo.  Since I do not have a Wells Fargo account and the text number was bogus, I checked this website.  Sure enough, there it is.  Don't reply!

    FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!

This number texted  my cell number from this number saying they were Bank of America and to call. When I called back I got an automated recording and yes I was one that gave them my info…. First they asked me for my SSN and then they asked for my card info – same thing – I was actually able to text message the number back for several hours until they shut the V-Text down which they have linked to the 888#. Per Bank of America this is not them and they were not trying to get a hold of me.

When they originally called yesterday the recording said they were Bank Of America. Today I called before I checked on here and the recording said Wells Fargo.

Scam. Scam. Scam. Report them and get these [***] shut down.

Call all your credit card companies, credit agencies and banks- they have your ssc now and can use it however they like. Rule of thumb, always call your bank first if you get these things. NEVER give your SSC or debit cards to unknown persons or recordings.
