He told me that my Windows security has expired and wanted me to buy a new plan for lifetime for 450.00 dollars. I said I would like to check his credentials and for him to call me back tomorrow. He said his name is John Spencer and his Employee # was 1D2. This so called technician was oriental.
- LenGot a call today ... said I had malware.
Told him to [***] off and hung up.
Should have played along a little longer to see exactly what he was up to.

His scam would probably be more successful if he spoke English.- Caller: Unknown
- Chris F. replies to MarkHad a call from this number on July 31st, 2012. Apparently; after having research their company further finding out it was a so called Microsoft Certified Security company that tries to convince who ever answers their call to give access to your computer saying their from Microsoft. Of course they nafariously claim as you said that there's a serious CSRSS.EXE Virus inside your computer. My young son thought they were legit from Microsoft and gave them access to my computer. Turns out they were trying to sell their own Security Software. Completely reformatted my hard drive after finding an Active X Trojan on my computer to allow the access. Notified my Network server of their scheme. Don't give these [***] any phone time. Traced 1-777-785-6167 call from Cincinnati, Ohio. Best Advice Hang Up.
- SylviaPhone rang, didn't answer when I saw number on display. I hope there's a hell for all these people. Lock them all in a room and let telephone ring 24/7 until they're driven completely insane.

- TammyGot a call from this number. He identified himself as a representative of a company who is in partnership with Microsoft. He did not specified the company name. Person on the phone sounded like he's East Indian. Had a hard time understanding him. He told me there was a security beach on my Microsoft, I replied, "How can that be"? . I told him I didn't understand what he was saying. As soon as I told him that I will hand over the phone to someone else who's more familiar with computers, he hung up.

- Ron replies to MjHi all, Just for your information the number that you got a call from is a number used by prankster as a Fake id. Check Spoofcard for more details. The company who owns the toll free number do not have a clue to whats going on. And the owner of the number will not be so stupid to abuse you and joke around with their own toll free number. You guys have been a victim of a spoof caller. Its very common these days.
- Angel replies to Cam| 2 repliesI just received a call from this number saying that there was an IP address problem in my computer. I asked how he knew, and he said my computer sent messages to the main server located in Washington D.C. I asked me to turn on the computer and fix the problem or it would be my own responsiblility. I asked what I was responsible for? Good to find out that it is actually a scam from this place! Thanks guys!

- FadeEast indian sounding gentleman saying he worked for microsoft and that my compter was running slow and had viruses and he would help me. I said ok. He instructed me to turn on my computer. I told him that I have worked in the tech support of an internet company for 4 years. He said "oh..! ok nice to talk to you ma'am! Nice to talk to you! Okay okay bye bye goodbye!". So yes, although it is true that I worked in tech support for an internet company, if u get this phone call, tell them you work in tech support with computers. They'll run right quick.
