did they leave a message? They called me too and said they were a phone and cable company. I don't answer 800 numbers so it went to voice mail. What did they tell you?

This company is calling at a our number and no one by the name of the person they are looking for lives here.  Here in Maryland we can sue for unwanted calls if they call back when told not to.

I received a call from 888-348-0198. I thought they left a msg,but all they left as static.

National Action Financial Services is at this number.  They call continually whether you have business with them or not.  I returned a call at 3am to find out who it was (as this is the time I get up for work) and no-one was at their business to answer and this is what their answering machine says.
