repeated calls

Prerecorded message from Erica. This is a business phone number they are calling. I can assure anyone this 23 year old company has no outstanding debts. The company is CBCS she says. (I will Google this company.) HOW TO STOP THIS?

I Googled CBCS. It is a collection agency. Says it's working with Bell South. A few people have sent them a check without any proof of owing it, just because it was a small amount, $25-60.oo, to keep their credit clean.Seems to be it's a scam. You can call their collections dept. at 888-547-5354 or write to Bell South and CBCS,  1155 Peach tree St.,  Atlanta, GA.  30309

Tell them to take your name out of the database or list and that your number is on the DNC (if not put it on :) national do not call list. Tell them you will report them to the Attorney Generals Office.

Repeated calls at odd hours of the evening, several times each day.  The caller says:  "This Irica, from CBCS or CVCS.  I am trying to collects a debt, any information collected will be used for that purpose.  This call is for Milton R Gooden, if you are not Milton R Gooden, do not continue to listen. to this message."

But you can not hang up, if you try to interupt the call, hang up, it calls you again.

Same as above.  Repeated calls for "Katrina A Anderson - if you are not Katrina A Anderson, do not continue to listen..."   Been happening for months.  Once, I answered but there's no way to get through.  Unbelievable.

I get these phone calls every day, without fail, for someone the automated Erica cannot pronounce the name of and it is definitely not my name!  How do I get them to stop?  I never answer my phone anymore for anything.  I let every call go to voicemail now.  My number is on the "Do Not Call" list.  A lot of good that has done!

They call my house repeatedly from this number on call id, but they give me another number to call back which i looked up and its NCO financial. Debt Collector

Collections robocall left an "866" number to call back.

Postings at other sites indicate CBCS is a bottom feeder collector of junk debt and non-existent debt. Be very, very careful if you speak with anyone from this firm. Demand written proof of debt validation from them before you send any money.

I got my muffled 1st name call from these guys, and I added them to my blocked number list.  I bought a Panasonic phone set with "block number" capability for just this purpose.  My maximum blocked numbers is 30, and I've used up all 30 of them.  My advice, NEVER answer an "unavailable" number and NEVER NEVER do financial business with an unsolicited caller.

Best way to handle these @$#$$## calls (and there are many) - have your phone connected to a fax machine.  Let them leave the fax machine a message.......

I got a call from these guys tonight, couldnt understand the recording so I pushed 1, then it said "thank you for calling" I was on hold for a few minutes and a nice lady came on the phone said she was with credit bureau collection services and told me who she was looking for, when I told her she had the wrong number she nicely stated she would remove my number from the account...

Got call from 888-249-1348 and they have been reported to the DNC doesn't do any good.  Talking to a lawyer now about sueing them for harrasment, mental depression and health conditions.  The government no calling listing doesnt help, have tried this, so we shall see how they like being sued.
