Man richard said he was comming with court papers...never came...called the city court never had court papers scam or prank call...leaning toward scam

We got almost the same call on 2 different cell phones.  The call coming in was blocked on caller ID and the message left was from Richard.  Said he was coming with court papers and left  the call back number as 888-352-9844.

I received the same call today that a sealed document will be delivered to me tomorrow afternoon via courier either at my residence or my place of employment, I will need valid ID when I sign for it, and I will need to have a witness there to verify my signature. If it is a scam,  it can be stopped by calling 855-672-1988 ask for Christopher.

"Allen" and what is this "Christopher" suppose to do for you? Take your money? Also the Judge doesn't like 1-855 numbers. More information, or your scam is busted!

Richard called again today. Said he is a county processor (did not say what county) and that he is coming to my residence (has my street name) with court papers and left the call back number as 888-352-9844. Gave the day he is coming. bet he calls to "reschedule" due to a "backlog in the office".

Well, he was supposed to come see me today, called again to say he was. So I called my  county court office and they have no record of any cases against me that anyone would be serving me papers on. They also said I would have a case number if this was real. This is a collection agency of some type from New York called Elmwood associates and what they are doing is deceitful. By the way, he did not show.

Its a collection agency saying you have to appear in court, and they need your signature.  If you are being served with court papers, you dont need to sign anythung, and a real sheriff serves you. This Richard guy never shows. Here in Texas, you cant be taken to court for owing debt. Its a tactic these agencies use to scare you into paying your debt.

Same as all the rest.  Received a call from Richard sounded like last name Harrold, said he was a county processor and that he would be serving me papers on Monday at my home and to make sure that I was there.  Called the number that he left and it is Elmwood and Associates, checked our state licensing and they are not licensed to conduct business in my state.  So very doubtful that he is goint to be showing up...scammers.  Perhaps I will have the neighbors unfriendly dog at the house when he comes Monday...lol
