I received a final notification call from IRS yesterday. I called them today about this issue & they guided me to a live agent.
Agent name Mr Williams was very much helpful. He told me all about the consequences & what are the steps involved in resolution. And i have already completed the resolution today. They gave the confirmation numbers & have arranged the meeting with the Irs Agent. Thank you very much.

There is a fairly common IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers on both Canadian and USA residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

everyone knows IRS does not call you, they send out letters!

I received a voicemail from this # stating the same bullsh*t - I called it back & told the person who answered that I'm aware that it's a scam & to quit calling me & guess what??  He hung up on me.  The IRS mails documentation when there is a tax issue - they do not call individuals at home.

To Alexis:  you are either very naive (in which case you just gave the scammers your person information) or you are part of the scam (trying to convince others to call back).  I received an automated call on my phone messages with the same info..l final notice, will be arrested, etc., etc.  I recorded it because it's almost laughable.  The IRS doesn't call your house or leave voice messages.  The message was addressed to no one in particular in my home.  In addition, the IRS would not tell me to have a "blessed day" at the end of a conversation or message.  

Just got the same phone call today! When I asked for this persons name, the phone got quiet, than I said, fake call plus everyone your right IRS sends letters!  I'm surprised there using the same number!

Do not talk with these people they are a scam!

You are right! According to his phrase constractions "Alexis" is an indian, so - the part of the scam.

I also received this call and they harassed
my mom. She is 62 and suffering from high blood pressure.
It is really dangerous that these strangers know our ss numbers.
and use them to give us stress.

I just had the same call.. Called it back and this indian guy could not give me EXACT details.. While he was going on about the details of my so called WARRANT OF ARREST, i asked him how legit is that process and if that was my last warning. .what happen to the previous warnings? I'm sure i never had any other calls. Indian guy told me to hang up if i think he's a scammer.. so i did!

I received an automated call  from IRS on my phone messages with the threat of final notice that my propetry will be arrested, etc., if i will not call back. They called few times with different phone#

I got 2 calls from IRS 888 372 3179, I ignored the 1st and then got the 2nd call they left the exact same voice mail that if I don't return the call immediately my name will be turned over to the court and issue a warrant for my arrest and they end with " Have a Blessed Day"!
I don't understand how people can get away with something like this? but the most interesting thing is that they never say who exactly they want to talk to, they never use any names.

How stupid are you? This is a straight up scam. The IRS ALWAYS sends notifications by mail!

I'm just curious as to what solution did "Mr. Andrews" have for you? Did he say you owe him money? Did he ask you not to raise your voice because you're being recorded and it could be held against you in court? This is soooo stupid... can't believe you fell for it. Even if you call back there's no ring tone or anything.. it just picks up and the guy with his little Indian accent says IRS... come on! That should have been your first clue
