Scam!! Heavy accent person saying I am being investigated for 3 cases.  Must return their call immediately.  I did.  They tried to confirm my address but could not even pronounce the name of the famous City where I live. I sensed the scam and laugh. Said they are calling from Washington DC.  I could hear foreign conversation in the background.

Same message left on machine and cell. Very difficult to understand and he could not pronounce the names.

Just got a call from this number. I thought scam as well, the guy couldn't pronounce my name if it was even my name he was trying to say.

I called the number back, a guy answered in a heavy foreign accent, he asked for my name and I said well you called me. I told him I reported the number to the IRS, which I did, as well as the national do not call registry. He hung up in me as I was saying national. Total scam.

I have been battling cancer for a year and have been dealing with a lot of stress. I received a message from this phone number 888-373-0745 saying that I'm under investigation for a crime and I must call and give myself up otherwise further action will be taken. The man had a strong accent as described above and said he was from the crime investigation department. He kind of slurred his name...maybe Stewart. Anyway, it initially stressed me out and then I reminded myself that I've been sick and rarely leave the house, it's a scam. So I googled the number and of course I confirm it is indeed a stupid scam. Who are these people!!! Why do they do this!!!!!

Left a barely coherent voicemail with a heavy accent about me being under investigation.  Complete scam. I don't know how they got my number.

So this number for the second time left a message, but this time said "Im watching you"
