- Veronica| 4 repliesThis is a scam----caller said he was Officer Charlie King with the IRS. Wanted to give me a heads up before he issued a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion. I do not owe any back taxes!! Caller spoke clear English with a slight East Indian accent.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Kathy replies to VeronicaWe received the same exact call. Sounds like a scam.
- Tammi replies to VeronicaI just got the exact same call and when I called the number back it wouldn't connect. Tried it twice.
- tracy| 1 replyJust got the exact same phone feom officer charlie king with the it's nicely wanting to give me a heads up before I was sued for tax evesion. I owe no back taxes. File every year. The thing is ...he said the callwas for me but never asked for me by name or said my name. They are fishing for someone to respond so they can get money
- Slim replies to tracyThere is a fairly common IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers on both Canadian and USA residents.
USA tax payers should read this:

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first. - BobSame call.....................Like anyone would respond to that idiot?
- SaraI just got the same message, from Charlie King, but he had a New York accent.
- Caller: supposedly the IRS
- susanreceived the same exact call yesterday with the exact same message.
- Caller: said it was the IRS
- Steve| 1 replyThe message I received was from a man who spoke English poorly with a thick Indian accent. He identified himself as James Anderson of the "Intentional Revenue Service." Much of the message I couldn't understand, both because of poor call quality that sounded like a VOIP-based overseas call center and because his syntax and word choice were inaccurate.
- Caller: Intentional Revenue Service
- Mike KRecorded call from Pakistani Indian named Charlie King claiming to be from IRS enforcement. Says a law enforcement Action has been issued against me. I also got a call from Robert Matthews with heavy Indian accent at 213-533-0467. I returned the call and Andy Gibson answered. He told me that a bench warrant has been issued because I owe $4,850. because of an error or evasion on my part to pay my taxes in 2011. I expect them to call again with an option to pay less then full amount. Also received call from 619 216-0527 with similar scam the next day trying to get our name. August 26,2014

- QCGot a voicemail from this person as Charlie King claiming he was from the IRS and was going to issue a warrant for my arrest. Scam!

- Sandra| 2 repliesI got the same message as QC. The caller was "Office King, first name Charlie" with the IRS tax evasion department. I was warned that there would be a warrant out for my arrest for tax evasion (I guess I shouldn't assume it was directed at me since there are four of us in the house). He also said "if you REALLY need more information please call us back at 888-398-7131".
At then end of his message he was kind enough to tell me to have a great day. LOL!- Caller: TOLL FREE
- Call type: Debt collector
- Sandra replies to SandraSorry about the spelling errors. I should have checked it before submitting...
- Meredith replies to SteveI had the same call. I couldn't even understand the guy so I asked for someone who spoke English and he started yelling that the police would be at my house in 45 minutes. The phone number does not connect back to them. There was a clicking sound in the background that was very irritating.
- rdmas replies to SandraJust got the same message. Scam artists.
- JulieI received a call from this number 8/21/14, 8/25/14 and just now 8/27/14. Same accent every time. First his name officer Charlie King with the IRS tax evasion department. I was warned that there would be a warrant out for my arrest for tax evasion. Taking this matter federal unless I call this number again. The second time he claims he's looking for Teresa only now he's James Dean Anderson. Last call is the same as the second. When I called this number from my work no answer at first, hang up the second time. Getting very annoyed by this.
- Kay BJust got the call from "Charlie King". After listening to his obvious script(he had trouble reading it) I asked him exactly who he was looking for as there were several different people at this number-he immediately hung up. Got to love these scam artists who think everyone out there is a sucker!

- DB replies to Veronica"Officer King" sounded more eastern European than Indian. I thought it was hilarious.
- WilliamReceived a message from Charlie King, an officer with the IRS. He's going to issue a warrant for my arrest. Ha Ha !! Charlie King with a Slavic accent. He spoke English and reversed certain words, exactly how Russians speak English. Then he hesitated, tripped on a few words, and told me to "Have a nice day." What a joke! Unbelievable!
- Caller: IRS
- NealSame here. I happen to work in Treasury, the IRS has agents, not officers, not to mention that law enforcement would not give you a heads up that they're about to bust you - it is hilarious!
