Brenda Rose calling from "Silver Security" asking for personal information, social security number, etc.  Also asked for money for something about a government check.

called and left no message

Called my telephone number today and asked for my deceased mother.  He said it was about her government refund check.  When I told him she'd passed away almost two years ago, he said he'd got the number from the government. Wrong, because the government has been informed she's deceased (filed with her last IRS return).  She lived with me before she passed away, but her name's not on my telephone number.  However, she'd give out my number on the loads of sweepstakes entries she'd send off daily.  I thought the bogus calls to her had stopped, but this week, they're averaging about five a day.

I got a "dead air" message on my phone - left at 1:50 pm. I hit *69 and got this number.

A woman called and identified herself as Joanna Jones and said I have been award a government check and later asked me about my bank number. She gave me a number 1-888-444-0374, but my caller ID picked up 1-888-404-4449.

Mother just recieved phone call from "Caroline Edwards" stating that she was eligible for a 5,000.00 government grant but that they needed her credit card number and 356.00 dollars. Called the number they provided and reached a voicemail message stating I had reached the Coporate Headquarters of Indentity Itegrity International.

Called on work line. Said I'd won $500,000 in a sweepstakes and they needed some information. Told them I had to leave for a meeting and asked for a name and number to call back. Got name John Adams, and a bogus number (tried calling it and got some poor guy who had no clue). Voice was mid-eastern accent.

Got a call from Dan Wilson, I too won a gov't grant due to the "cost of living."  Call back and they say Silver Securities.

asked a question to them and got a retort saying "I asked one first" I was just wondering who was calling but with that type of atatude I hung up and looked up the number.
