- Vicki Bealman| 3 repliesCompany offerring Mortgage Foreclosure STOP services. Are they for real?
- Caller: DOLMF
- David replies to Vicki Bealman| 1 replyNO THEY ARE A SCAM!!!! They are located at 7960 Bay Meadows Way Jacksonville, FL 32256. They are mortgage brokers that say they don't charge fees but ask for "CONTRIBUTIONS" that are NOT tax deductible. They claim to refer you to lawyers but they are just sending you to another modification broker who you wind up paying again anyway. Stay away from them!! They are being investigated by the Florida Attorney General's office.
- always checkI needed help and almost got taken for lots of money I glad I did my homework.

- Get out of debt guy 2They claim to be non profit and they tell you once you're in the program you will have a local attorney who will represent you....LIE!!. They also front load fees, which is against the law. None of the representatives are properly licensed read this..

They send out letters to potential clients that has there the exact amount of debt they have. How do they know this you ask? They pull peoples credit without their consent and use this information against them, which is VERY illegal. If you get a call or a letter from these crooks, ask them immediately what there license number is. You'll get some hesitation as they try answer that, or they'll just make up something. If they do give you a license number, verify that it is a legit number(I promise it wont be). I know first hand they are operating illegally because they are running out of money and cant afford to conduct business the right way. One of the people running this company was shut down by the FTC for another company he ran, heres the original legal document http://www.myfloridalegal.com/webfiles.nsf/WF ... alComplaint.PDF
and his arrest record... http://inmatesearch.jaxsheriff.org/pgInmateSearchHits.aspx
They all use fake names and they are NOT a non profit company, they'll take your money in a heartbeat.
Also, they keep changing the name of the company to avoid these complaints. They where called The Department of Loss Mitigation and Forensics, they are now called Family Financial Group.- Caller: DOLMF/Family Financial Group

- angelsmemaw@yahoo.comI reached this site by searching the address: 7950 Baymeadows Way, Jacksonville, FL So glad I checked before calling. The number on the letter however is: 888-502-2306 So disappointed in people who would take advantage of people suffering in this terrible economy. Just remember, what goes around comes around, and you will get your just rewards.
- Caller: Department of Loss Mitigation (Letter)
- dianepefford@yahoo.comI found them by searching the Baymeadows address. I called them and they told me that was their address along with two other locations. I don't understand what everyone is so upset about. They're a business that have multiple phone numbers and different locations. The complaints on this site better have some reasoning behind trashing a business or else it's just wrong. I worked out a deal with my credit cards to lower my interest rates so I don't need any help but I have a sister that could not get her creditors to lower her payments, interest rates, and she is going with a debt management company. I spoke with Ashley and Phil on the 23rd and they were very pleasant and did not pressure me in to enrolling with one of their partner affiliate companies and I eventually did not since I worked out arrangements with my creditors. I had spoke to another company and it was not that way. I felt pressured to enroll with them and was talking to a salesman. I was asked to place a post about my experience and I agreed to happily. If I ever need professional help I will call them, if I cannot handle my debts myself in the future.
- dianepefford@yahoo.comI am no relation to David either! but I appreciate his research.
- Frank ThomasStacy called me from this number called me and reviewed my credit card debts and referred me to Golden State Debt Management. I was very satisfied with what they told me. They didn't take any money from me, explained everything to me before I paid any money or signed the contract. She did not sell me in to a certain program. The one I chose to enroll with, Golden State, has an A rating with the Better Business Bureau. I was pleased with how she talked to me and everything.

- G-Man| 2 repliesHey, these guys are legit. Got the number form my brother in law, who used them to stop foreclosure on his house. I used them for the same thing. No tricks or traps, so far,and I am very skeptical of these types of things. They do refer your to different services and I am sure they make money that way, but without them, I would have lost my home. Hard to criticize them after something like that. But if something goes down, I'll let you know.

- Mark Tate replies to DavidThat is not at all true .. I read this blahh blahh blog and got VERY worried. I did some checking on them and found out that the AG office of FL. has no open or otherwise ivestigation about them..................... If you are going to get on here and lie about some one atleast have the brains to tell A lie that can't be found out.... They proly can't make every one happy but neither does walmart yet you go back there again and again ...... - Wendy| 3 repliesI work for a HUD-approved housing counseling agency. I deal with foreclosure cases every day. I see companies like this all the time. Sometimes, when people use companies like these, they end up wasting valuable time and money. By the time they come to us, they are more than a year behind and they lost thousands of dollars in the process. We don't charge for our foreclosure intervention services and we are HUD-approved. If you are in need of foreclosure assistance, you are better off going to the HUD website (www.hud.gov) and contacting one of the housing counseling agencies listed there. We get results and we don't charge you anything to do it.
By the way, I found this site because one of my customers brought a letter they received from this company. The phone number listed on their letter is 1-888-524-4120. (The customer did say that the company hasn't requested money, but she thought they were HUD.) - H. W. replies to should i be concernedAn attorney always has a better chance at getting something done with your lender as opposed to you, as you have found out already. There is, as always, no guarantee with this or anything, but, it IS you best shot. I know a few people who have done it and are happy.
- referral replies to dutchettFamily Financial Group will give you a free consultation and then refer you to a number of different companies. There is no obligation to find out what your options are for handling various types of debt. They helped me.
