- MaryanneReceived a call today.
- Clementine| 1 replyParents received a call and the announcement said they were from Aetna with an important message about their insurance. It also gave a pin number to enter when you return the call.
I called out of curiosity, but was suspicious. I listened but we will not call them because it seems odd to give a pin number.- Caller: aetna
- Dennis in Houston replies to ClementineReceived the same call from Aetna. It was a recorded interactive call about their diabetes support service. I had just received a mailer from them a few days earlier. I suspect that it is a worthwhile program for both the company and the member since controlling diabetes is fairly easy, and can save huge medical costs long-term by preventing or delaying associated health problems.
- Alex P.I am getting these calls on an on-going basis despite repeated call to Aetna to turn them off. I signed up for it a few months ago and then changed my mind....like the roach motel, you can check in but you can't check out.
- Caller: Aetna
- AnonymousReceived a call from Kaiser. It was in regards to my service plan. It was a legitimate call. I did call back and received information.
"Hello, This is Kaiser Permanente calling one or more members of the [name] family with important information please call us toll free at 1-888-421-6702 and enter this # digit pin [redacted], so we know it's you again the number is one eight eight eight four two one one. Six 702 and your # digit pin is [redacted] if we don't hear from you soon will try again. Thank you goodbye."- Caller: Kaiser Permanente
- AnonymousI got several calls from this number. This was the first time I was able to return the call. Funny thing is, the recording never asked for the PIN number they gave me in the voicemail. Why give a PIN number if they aren't going to ask for it.
- Caller: Kaiser Permanente
- DocReceived similar call as described above, claiming to be Kaiser.
When I called, the automated system did not ask for the PIN, but did ask for personal information, so I am skeptical. I would not proceed, since I have no way of verifying this was Kaiser, and others have been called from Aetna using the same number. Could be a legit contracted Call center working for both; could be a scam. Kaiser is generally pretty poor with patient communications, so- Caller: (Claimed) Kaiser Permanente
- vivian spragueA voice mail message identifying as Kaiser Permanente saying, "We have an important announcement for you. Please call us back with the pin # to identify that is it me." I did not call back bec my gut feeling tells me is a fraud and besides KP does not have a phone # that starts with 1.888......
- Caller: Kaiser Permanente

- WTCaller left voicemail that it's Kaiser, and to call back with a PIN number. I've had Kaiser for 25 years, and Kaiser does NOT call with such a message with any PINS of any sort. It is a hospital system, not a financial institution requiring PINS. If/When anyone calls Kaiser, they will ask you for basic info such as medical record number, name, phone number & birthdate to verify, but don't deal with PINS. This is NOT something new for 2016--if so, Kaiser would have announced it via letters, emails & phone calls. THIS IS A SCAM TO TRY TO GET YOUR PERSONAL INFO--DO NOT CALL BACK TO GIVE YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, BIRTHDATE, etc. SOMEONE WILL STEAL YOUR IDENTITY THAT WAY.
- Caller: NOT Kaiser, it is a SCAM
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DKCThey pretend Kaiser Permanente said my insurance needs determination … Finally, they asked ask my name, address, and birthday. I gave them, now I knew I am fooled.
- Caller: Kaiser Permanente
- Call type: Event reminder
- DannyI got a call from this number saying its from kaiser. But it's odd because it asks for a PIN number in order to know its me. It's fake, Kaiser doesn't use PIN numbers for confirmation, I called kaiser and they said the have no association with this number.
- Caller: ***kaiser**???
- NickyI got same call From Kaiser, Just ignore it.
We have Kaiser apps. If really from kaiser they will send a message at your email then open at Kaiser apps- Caller: Scam
- Call type: Telemarketer
- CRThis was a message from Kaiser with a pin#. I called the number back (I didn't need the pin #) and it was an automated message from Kaiser reminding me to update my Medi-cal.
This was not a spam number- Caller: (888) 421-6702
