I started receiving calls from this number....from a representative from this number, claiming that I owed $600 on a loan that I took out. This was a loan that I didn't remember taking out. I asked for some documentation, because I wasn't going to send $600 on the fly to somebody who I didn't know, regarding something that I didn't remember happening. They asked, 'well, what kind of documentation do you need?' I said, 'well, a cancelled check, for starters.' It just didn't seem right to me. They sent me a letter on letter head, stating the nature of the call and that was pretty much all the evidence they were going to give me. I told them that that wasn't "EVIDENCE." When I looked at the top of the letter that they had faxed, the number said, "Drive Tours." HOW WIERD!!!! I pretty much told them that they were a joke, and haven't heard back from them!!!!!

This is DM Associates they are a collection agency and say they are lawyers and will sue you.  Just call them back.  Its easier

How do you know that they are a collection agency? I don't find any collection agency named DM associates online (google).

called my house and said they were working on a fraud transaction, then he dropped the phone and someone named got on the phone and aske who he was talking too. I asked who are you? Larry, and said he needed to know who I was so he could a file----they didn't know who they called. I hung up

said i was defrauding a fianancial institute??? Never said my name her name was Susan Daniles from D&M associates..I have no idea what this persion is talking about said if i dont call backtheywill expedite the claim

I got a call from this number and the guy kept said wait he had paper work that he need to collect. I kept asking who he is looking for, then he hand up.

Received two calls from aSusan DAniels and Phil Conner, alledging a 'derogatory' transaction between my bank and their client.  Calling police and reporting them for attempted fraud.

12/31/09 received 4 calls; 1 call 12/23 on cell phone. Have received several calls from this tel# for past 3 months. Never heard of D&M associates so don't bother answering calls from 888-428-1999. Have made several complaints of this tel# on donotcall.gov to no avail. Also have received same type of calls from 434-533-9030 with complaints to donotcall.gov also to no avail. I'm guessing they are both fund raisers for Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and I have no desire to talk to either one except if they want to say they are resigning for selling this country down the toilet.

888-428-1999 called. left msg on cell phone. Said from D&M Assoc. Called number to see how a 15 yr old boy could have an outstanding loan. Guy answers phone asking for "what # did I call?" Yeah, that's why I was calling you buddy!  Gave cell number...wanted to know if I was Christopher R Parker or knew a Christopher R Parker with a PO Box in Melborn FL...No and NO!  Cell number area code is for the Northwest region of the US ...cell listed under family plan with a 5+ year history of having the "so called" number on file for Christopher R Parker.  Demanded the number be removed since it has been recorded on the donotcall.

They have called a few times. First male. Philip Connor. States in "regards to a derogatory check transaction between your bank and my client......the details of this matter are time sensitive and for more information you must call "  Sometimes D & M Associates is referenced on the recording , sometimes he does not leave his name. One call was a female....no name, she states" my client is considering you are attempting to defraud a financial lending institution....to cease and assist course of action....failure to call will expedite the process.......the latest they called was 6pm. Have been reading about a lot of complaints on this telephone number on-line.......can not find any information online about D & M Associates. They never give any information who they are or where they are.

I just recieved a call from the same number(888)428-1999. She(Susan) said the I have defreauded an Financial Institure and that need to contact her A.S.A.P. My mnae was never mentioned in the voicemail....HMMM!

This company called me every 5 minutes today and yesterday.  I started calling them back every 5 minutes and they supposedly filed a complaint with LAPD - but someone from LAPD did call me ????- are they in with these fraudulent people (west valley division).  they keep saying there is a fraudulent claim with a bank - no other information.

Same thing said i had a derogitory  check between his client and i must call hime back immediately- thing is i havn't had a checking account in years. so obviously this is bs!

I keep getting calls from D&M Associates. I have faxed, wrote letters and emails and they act like they were never received. they say i had defrauded a financial instiution. the company they are trying to collect for is BMG and the only BMG i know is a music company not a financial instiution. Now they are saying if i don't call they are going to file a 1099 form that may effective my state of federal taxes. they are a collection company and cannot touch tax returns. only the federal goverment can do that.

I have received the same phone calls from this alleged company.  They only call my cell phone and never my home phone.  They told me the same thing about the 1099 in a voice mail.  They never say who they are actually calling or what the matter is. Prior to this, I was receiving phone calls for someone who I didn't even know.  When they won't tell me who they are calling, I do not call anyone back.  If it is for me and if they are indeed a collection agency, they cannot interfere with my taxes.  Only the federal government can do that.

They are threatening to turn in a 1099-C (charge off) to the IRS on an UNVALIDATED debt which is ILLEGAL.

A family member just went through a similar scenario with another junk debt buyer who reported a disputed, out-of-statute, unvalidated and charged-off debt to the IRS. When the IRS asked for documentation to support their claim they did not respond and DEFAULTED.

They won't stop calling for a relation of mine that has requested the caller to send proof of a seven year old debt. I've asked them to just send the paperwork and stop calling me. His response was " Oh well"

They started calling me saying it was regarding a derogatory check transaction, Susan Daniels & Phillip Oconnor left many messages.  Then they changed the message to say regarding my attempt to defraud a financial institution.  That went on for months.  Now Mr. Bernstien is calling leaving message saying that a 1099-C will be filed within the next 24 hours & my taxes will be effected by this.  I kept all the messages because if they are a real collection agency they've broken numerous federal laws.  They have to go by the FDCPA (fair debt collection practices act), so they can't threaten jail (fraud), etc, etc.  I'm going to call an attorney to find out what can be done to these people if they are legit.  I did call them and asked what the account was that they were calling about.  It is an old credit card, they gave me the card #, name of credit card, etc.  so they definately have information on me that they shouldn't have if they're not a collection agency.

Some woman trying--rather pathetically I might add--claiming to be a "Mrs. Ray" called stating that she was calling on behalf of some company called DM Associates. She said that this was a fraud matter and implied that I had defrauded a business of some sort of a bank. She tried to sound intimidating by saying that her company was going to be filing civil charges against me. I believe this to be a big scam like so many out there now. I can find no company called "DM Associates" anywhere on the web. Also I do not defraud anyone or anything. These people are law-breaking scam artists--everyone who gets a call from them should report them to the appropriate authorities--the FCC, local police, your cell company, etc. They must be stopped and held to account!
