I have a bad check and they have issued me a warrant for the bad check. Plantiff # is 174-322-SC. I female that speaks english left the message. The female identified herself as Marie Green. She did not indicate  where the supposedly bad check was written to.

This company is a scam.  No physical address, they say they are from Los Angeles but take money out of your account from Arizona.

Received call on 8/29 from a woman stating I was being investigated for fraudulent charges but never stated what for. Told me to call 888-453-8654 X303....The name if the firm is USC and when asked waht USC stands for they stated - Underwoon, Carter and Stevems..a mediation firm.

I recieved a call from this number and she stated i owe them money and she wanted my cc# number. I don't know who she is and where she is from

this is not a scam... they are legit... to all that question just... stop getting on line payday loans ... i ignored there call and just found out i missed court and now i have a failure to appear and worthless check charge and may dojail time plus fines .

Hello.  i also got a call from this number.  They said a process server and the police were on their way to my job.  Mind you, i work at a law firm. They said i could go to to jail over this.   I was willing to give them my debit card number, but not until I verified who they were.  they said the name of the company was USC, out of Los Angeles, CA.  There's no record of this "firm".  Their answers went back and forth.  They kept telling me different things. Being that i work for attorneys and i am very aware of the FDCPA guidelines  i asked if they had an attorney on site.  A lady got on the line and gave me a false bar number and a false name.  I looked up the bar association, and no results - just as i had assumed!  If they are so legit, Sally Jones, why are they giving false information? Bottom line, they broke the law.  I agree, online payday loans are not the best idea.  But don't let this so called "firm" scare you into anything.  Pay day loans are completely legal, false representation and threats from a debt collector are not! If this has happened to you, i recommend filing a complaint with the Attorney General.

I just recieved a call from USC and they state they will serve me and take me to court for a bad check....I have a discharged bankruptcy and if they contact me again I will contact a Lawyer. When I asked for a fax number, they stated they did not have one and hung up one me. They do not know me, but I will now research them and go after them!!!!!

The company USC and Associate has changed phone numbers and are currently using 1-877-373-0268.  Consumers beware.  They are calling and trying to use a scare tactic to gain access to your information; name, social security number, address.  This information can be used to set up identity theft, open accounts and etc.  Unless this company can verify who they are and where they are located.  Give information that can be verified with the Better Business Bureau, I would not give them the time of day.  The representative would only say they are located in Los Angeles, CA.  No street address.  Why would you let a company withdraw money out of your account without first making contact and verifying information with the company you supposedly owe or defaulted on?

I received the same call yesterday. They stated they were a Mediation Firm USC, saying I am going to be charged with 2 counts of Fraudulent checks. I dont have a bank and they said they will be taking me to court if I do not pay. I called back and spoke with a different person and I asked if he could mail me information on my case. He said he couldnt due that until my bill was paid in full. This does not seem right = the number is 1-877-375-6635 his extension is 326 and name is Michael Thompson. I am very concerned. Hoping someone will get back to me.

I got the same call today except they called my ex-mother in-law whom i havent spoke to in 5 yrs to locate me in another state... I am in the process of reporting them as i type!!!

They are now using another number, 1-877-240-0526. The company said they were USC law firm, and when I asked what it stood for, they said united service credit. The loan they are harassing me about was with check n go, and they sold my $165 debt to United debt holdings. So this USC company is a SCAM

They are also using the number 877-240-2046 The Law Office of USC doesn't exist. I looked it up including that number. They said they were going to file fraudulent charges on a unpaid pay day loan from 2008. Wouldn't send me any information kept "verifying my address and first digits of my social" I haven't even heard of the loan company they were referring too. They wouldn't let me "pay if I got off the phone with them" and they wouldn't send me any info on this "loan".

This lady has been calling my nephew's phone all hours of the day harrassing him to get to me, I also called them and spoke with a lady named Erica Grant, I got the same answers! I have a feeling that this is a scam and want to take legal actions toward them. How would I go about doing this if you don't mind telling me.

talk to a bankruptcy attorney. They can tell you how to take care of this problem.

As of Dec. 2011, they have changed their number again. It's 1-877-366-2431. I have spoke to Araon and he informed me that they are not allowed to send out validation of debt letters. Hummmmm. Sounds strange. Don't you think....
