    Got Ripped
I got charged 26.20 I called the 1-888-454-6364 number and was told that they have been charging me since 2001, therefor ripped me off 7 times. I don't remember ever authorizing any body by this name for card protection. This looks like a big scam.

I too was charged $26.20 twice.   Last year my wife and I noted the same thing in our account; and immediately went into our bank to notify them.  Our bank refunded us the money but at the time had difficulty in tracking down who had debited out account.  On May 20, 2008...we once again charged this fee twice with the #888-454-6364 appearing on our bank statement.  Once again I went to the bank and complained; and in doing so, they called and followed up on the number above.  To make a long story short; I'm going to be reimbursed the money not only for this year, but since 2002 when they first started taking money out. My advice to anyone...call them and complain(you will get your money back)...they seem legit in the sense that they're not a scam, but it's still a little odd that I don't recall ever signing a form they cliam that I did with my bank.

Your bank is giving them the info, but keeps NO record.  Hot Line (operated by Carlson Group) has partnerships with many financial institutions.  Address is registered to Legal Sense (also a Carlson Group company).  Your PERSONAL information is being forwarded to a third party without your knowledge!

Call them and request a copy of the "Enrollment" form - make sure to ask for a complete copy.  Get your bank to investigate the release of your personal information to a third party - ask them for a copy of the authorization.

Ok, just went of the phone with CIBC Visa.
Simply, if you ever talk to the such a co. and got involved in conversation about CARD PROTECTION SERVICE, and you have received the "package" to review and agree or to cancel, this will happen!
Even you cancelled it (As I did 3 years ago!!!) they "renew" their attempt to get your money every 3 years!!!!!
So give them a call and tell them what you think about that bull*hit!

July 14 charge on my Visa for $62.95 from Card Registry Service 1-888-6364

I called CIBC VISA and was told that this is an yearly insurance for my card and I'll have to call the number to ask to cancel and a refund.
I don't remember ever signing up for this, why would I get insurance on a VISA card. VISA gives you fraud protection anyway.

Calling the number just put me on hold until I gave up. Will try again tomorrow at regular business hours.

Just called them, they said I signed up for it with a 2 month trial and then automatic renewal after that if I didn't call to cancel. That was in 2005!
Anyway, the woman was very nice and canceled the 'service' and will refund the most recent charge.

Do not be silly by not providing them with your card number! You will get your money back less about 3 dollars or lose whole 73. You can't receive your money back if they don't know where to send it. It is safe to give just the number of your card (front face #). They will also have to verify who they are talking to like home ph.# and address.
I just cancelled their service no hassle at all. Will see my statement in a couple of business days. By the way, this 73 dollar charge protects you and your family for 3 years in case IDs and cards get stolen. You also should have received some forms to fill out and send back to them in order for this service to work.

Just got a 74 something charge on my debit card that I didn't know about. I called the number and they said I wasn't a member of the program after I gave them my phone number. My bank (TD) is now investigating and I have cancelled my debit card.

I was charged $ 73 also. I called my bank. They said they would do investigation and refund me the mondy. I think both bank and the card registration co. have to take responsibility. How come our money was taken without our permission?! What a hell company. We have to sue it!
