we received a call yesterday.

I got this phone call of 888-462-9402, something about a complaint, not sure who it is, claims that it's from a law office.

I have received calls of this sort in the past and now they are starting again. I received one this morning as I was going out the door to take my son to school. They are B.S. calls. The person called from an unavailable number and told me to call the 888-462-9402 number and gave me some type of case number. They are nothing but harassment calls if you ask me.

My grandmother, parents and I have received phone calls from this a restricted number asking for my ex husband of 4 years. When I called 888-462-9402 to tell them they have no right to call numbers never associated with my ex, they said they can call anyone associated with me because I used to be married to him. No idea if this is true or not. They said they are a law office. I doubt this since they never gave me their law office information. I gave them the last number I had for my ex and told them I would report their phone calls to myself and my family.

Someone called me from this number stating it was a legal matter and told me I should call them back within 24 hours...whatever!! I wasn't born yesterday...

Received a voice mail message from a person, (male voice), stating a claim has been filed regarding some undelivered legal documents involving a property located at a non-existant intersection. He requested a call back and provided a reference #. Yeah, right! I've deleted the message and advise anyone else to do the same.

Received second call today and first one on the10th.I've done some research and they are "junk debt collectors" with many phone #'s.Enterprise United Partners 1860 Lampton Ave. Ste 1 Norco CA 92860 (951)268-1401 Their other name is Hamner Investments with the same address and various phone #'s.Their initial call comes up private,unavailable and they leave a message with this 888 462 9402 and a case # with threats that if you don't call the # you will be served papers.be sued,property seized,etc.They try to get you curious enough to call and say you will be served papers at your place of work! They are nothing but extortionists in my mind.They threatened to garnish wages and ruin my credit for 7 yrs.I was advised by my banker to check my credit report which I have done and everything is fine,however,they had made an inquiry on my credit worthiness and were able to read off any open accounts that I have. Don't be fooled by their slick tactics,don't answer their calls or have any contact with these thieves. This is illegal activity against the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act which is Federal law.There are many other reports of these scumbags on the Business Consumer Alliance website.Please spread the word about these bloodsucking creeps.They would not say what company they were,I found this out with my own research online.

Received a call at work from this number.Left message With co-work. He name was Brian Pierson from Nationwide Doc Delivery Service. Gave a ref #. But to her to tell me not to mention his name he's passing it on.  Did not call back and will not call back

Jose Gonzalez @ 884629402 called me a few minutes ago. Same script as last time I got a call like this. I'm still waiting to be served. Dumb a$$ people. You cant fool me!

Called saying regarding an address and must call within 24 hours or else a deduction will be made.

Male identifying himself as Alex Reyes said I have 24 hours to call back about a "time sensitive matter" involving personal action against me and also said there is a question about a property at my mailing address (which is only a private mailbox - good luck with that LOL). He reeled off a case number and said if I don't respond within 24 hours they will take action against me. Unknown caller ID so I didn't answer. I am not going to respond.

I had identity theft years ago and this crap is still following me even though I have had those accounts deleted from my credit report multiple times. The collection agencies just keep selling the debt to other agencies (most likely their sister companies) and re-reporting it. The tradelines are due to age out in a few months so I assume they are trying a last ditch effort to get me before the time expires. They can call all they want. I'm not answering!!!

I received a call like Lily's above (yesterday). I was told I would be served papers today to go to court. He (they) must have checked my credit report and saw an old bank account that I have been going rounds with because of an error they made.  His name was Larry.  He was rude disrespectful and hung up on me, after saying his office sent letters to my place of employment, which they did not.  So far no one has came to my work to serve me anything.

Ignore the jerk.  Unless you receive WRITTEN notice, there is no case.  You might mention the calls to your employer though.  If you were going to be served, someone would NOT tell you they were coming!!

Received a call and the person told me he had papers to serve me at work and to arrange other meeting places to call 888-462-9402 and gave me a reference number. Called and talked to a Larry and he told me I was being sued and I would go to jail and tried to get arrangements for payments and I asked him to send something in writing, he informed me he did not have to send anything in writing, that a judgement was being brought against me. I talked to my lawyer and he told me they could do nothing, that this was a scare tactic. Now he has called back and told me he would see me in court and he was going to involve my work. This guy is a piece of work. The calls from them come as unknown, but I had wrote down the number and name and it is the same one everyone is talking about on this site.

You might want to mention this to your employer - just in case the phony should call them - a violation of the Fair Debt Act.

This number 1-888-462-9402 keeps calling a family member asking for me threatening things I don't understand. When I call them they refuse to tell me what it's about. Once I asked for the manager and the guy hung up on me. Then I called back and the same guy made a fake woman's voice and pretended to be an operator. How can I get these calls to stop?

Recieved a call from 888-462-9402, regarding a legal matter. I called back wondering what this was regarding. Call went to a woman who answered "how may I direct your call", not this is the office of blah blah or collections or anything. I gave her the reference number and she forwarded me to Joshua Hansen, part of a law firm stating that I owed US Bank money and I needed to pay or it would come out of my income and go to court. I did have an account with them, oh about 5yrs ago, but thought it had been dropped due to it being so old. He stated I needed to pay them $600 today or would be looking at wage garnishment and a law suit that could cost me up to $3,200 total... This is such a scam, but I needed to know what it was regarding. Thought it was weird when my Aunt contacted me and she said she recieved a call from a Shawn Ellis, and asked to speak with a manager and they hung up on her. Also they asked for her by her previously married name that she hasn't gone by in at least 6 yrs... This entire thing is fishy and entirely a scam, not once did they mention that this was a debt collector or that they were attempting to collect a debt... Do yourself a favor and do not answer or give them any information!!!

Thats strange that you mention US bank, i think i spoke to the same person about a us bank checking account i had 4 years ago....i had my attorney contact these people last friday. My attorney went over the specifics and said that it was within the "statue of limitations" and legally I could be "sued" for this still. I do know i cant open a bank account because i didnt fix this stupid little overdraft.....i decided to pay it. Im not sure if I should have listened to my attorney being that he is my x wifes father. But I did owe the money and they did send me paperwork showing it was paid....so i dont know....hope i wasnt scammed...but i sent the documents they faxed me to Transunion and one other credit place...hoping it works out for me....good luck to the rest of you

Report the matter to authorities.  Don't pick up on numbers you don't recognize.  Invest in a call blocker.  Contact whoever handles debts collection regulation in your state.
