- RG| 1 replyThey left a voice mail. This is what the message said: It was a Robert with Nation Wide carrier service delivery for you, said they are dispatching a carrier tomorrow between 3-4 pm, they said a signature is required. If they cannot deliver at home, they will attempt to do so at your place of employment, in which case they would need a supervisor present to witness the signature. If you need to reschedule you can contract the sender 888 483 0836 - tracking # 417688.

- S| 1 replyRec'd call 4/19 from a 'restricted' number.. left a vmail saying exactly what was posted by prior poster.. 'robert with nationwide courier.. they would be dispatching someone for a delivery the next day between 3 & 4 and it would require a signature.. they said if you need to reschedule call the number' im reporting right now.. only difference was tracking number was different and there was no add'l comment about delivery to work..
- Caller: 'Robert' w/nationwide courier
- MJG replies to SSCARE tactic!! A real process server will NOT warn you and you can NOT buy your way out of a summons once it is issued.
- Pd OFFThey called my job, my mother, and family i havent spoken to in years..is this legal?
- CarolynReceived same message except they left a message thinking I'm Dewayne Smith. The person calling said his name was Don Watts with SDS courier services. Number he left was 888.483.0836.
- Caller: SDS Courier
- SSReceived same call about delivering documents for someone else, just as above. It's a scam. Probably trying to get people to call back saying they had the wrong number. I didn't return the call.

- Jeff| 37 repliesReceived a call from dfs. they said they were representing advance america or some bank regarding advance america. They gave me a very fair offer to pay back a loan I was in default on prior to there being a judgment. contacted advance america and they were who they claimed to be. the man was kinda rude but asked to speak to a manager and got a guy named andrew who was very cordial.
- Caller: dfs
- Call type: Debt collector
- ShillKill replies to Jeff| 6 repliesJeff, since you were so kind to share you experience with this caller, you could really help us out by
- Telling us what DFS stands for
Sharing their address with us
Thanks in advance for your help with this! - Telling us what DFS stands for
- Tygerkat replies to Jeff| 4 repliesDid the "very cordial" guy named Andrew MAIL you proof of the debt, as required by law? Or did you just pay him when you spoke to him because he was "very cordial"?
Just because someone claims you owe a debt doesn't mean you do and even if you know you do, unless they prove BY US MAIL that they are legally able to collect that debt, you shouldn't pay them. and certainly NEVER over the phone! - BigA replies to Jeff| 24 replies"they said they were representing advance america or some bank regarding advance america." So who were they representing? Were they representing Advance America or some bank? So you admit that you lied when you told this loan company you would pay back the loan? Tell me "Jeff" do you lie a lot? Like habitually? So why should we believe you now when you tell us how great this debt collector was? How do we know you aren't lying to us now like you lied to the loan company about repaying the debt? Or maybe that was your plan all along? Not pay the debt and then hope to scam the loan company by paying a lesser amount to a debt collector? None of this bodes well for your character and I have to wonder whether any part of your story is true. Especially if this is truly the type person you really are. A sniveling little lying cheat.
- Jeff replies to Tygerkat| 3 repliestygerkat I'm not the type of person that looks for reasons not to pay my bills. I knew I owed the debt. I went through a ruff patch in iife, and yes they had sent correspondence to me but I had since moved since and never got it, which is why Im glad I was contacted before there was a judgement. I verify who Im paying before I pay, but all my bills are paid over the phone or online. I wasn't trying to game the system when I borrowed, I just lost my job and was unable to pay it back
- qwerty replies to JeffSo you saw, yet ignored ShillKill's request for more info on this company. Now why would that be?
- Jeff replies to BigA| 23 repliesBigA, if I was trying not to pay the loan back I would not have. I lost my job after working in a coal mine for close to 20 years. Sorry people go through difficult times, you dont have to be a jerk about it. I didnt say anything about these people good just my experience and who they are.
- Jeff replies to ShillKill| 5 repliesschill im not this agencies keeper, or defender. Just had a debt with them. If you call them I'm sure they can provide all that info for ya.
- ShillKill replies to Jeff| 4 repliesI didn't ask you if "you were this agencies keeper", I asked you what DFS stands for and what is their address. A reasonable and prudent person would in fact assume you knew this information if you had a detailed conversation with them and they "offered you a fair settlement"
Moreover, in your response to Tygerkat below you stated " I verify who Im (sic) paying before I pay". Therefore, I'm puzzled you didn't answer my question.
Finally, in your OP you stated "contacted advance america (sic) and they were who they claimed to be". Yet you don't know the name of the company.
Your non-responsive answer to my query may cast doubts on your original claims. You state you are "not the type of person who games the system", yet it appears you are trying to game the system of this forum by posting dubious and unsubstantiated claims about a questionable collection agency. - BigA replies to Jeff| 21 repliesSo you routinely look up numbers when you know who they belong to? What would be the purpose in that? Oh and as to the judgement, they would have to properly serve you, then a court hearing would have to take place in front of a real judge. they would have to prove that they have the right to collect said debt and that you actually owe it, and then, and only then would they get a judgement. No doubt they said you would have to pay thousands extra, but that isn';t the case. You see the judge determines what you owe. Sorry you who story has been made up. We don't believe one word of it because you have demonstrated that you are a shill trying to make people believe that this is a real debt collector instead of the criminal enterprise you work for.
- jeff replies to ShillKill| 3 repliesschill we are in a forum to discus who is calling from a specific #, I told ya exactly what occured. Dont have the letter they sent in front of me but you can get all that info by calling them. Why ask me? Are they refusing to give you address and name? Didn't have that problem with them but if you are I would report them to the BBB. I verified by going to the store I borrowed the money at and asking them who I needed to pay after recieveing the call from dfs. No better way than that
- Vincent LaGuardia Gambini replies to jeff| 1 replySo let me get this straight --- the "DFS" calls you about a loan that was in default, you walk into Advance America who tells you who you need to pay and yet you won't name them here?
You said you were going to have a judgement against you --- how do you know that? Are you a lawyer or do you just believe anything some unknown phone caller tells you?
Did SK indicate he was called by them? No, I think he was being overly polite to you. I think you are so full of equine feces your eyeballs are discolored. I think you showed up shilling for some two bit telefraud operation and realized folks are on to your chicanery. - jeff replies to BigA| 20 repliesbigA what are you talking about? Did your mother drop you on your head as a child. They are a debt collector!! I contacted the company I borrowed from, advance america, their number is 888-310-4238. They are the people that told me, yes this is the company we outsourced this to. They also sent me a letter.
- JDThere is a Florida Advance America BBB report with a disconnected number see http://www.bbb.org/south-east-florida/busines ... eah-fl-11012585
