3 rings & they hung up when i said hello - how jive

call rec'd from this # @ 4:37PM, Jan. 22, 2010--- it rang 3 times & they hung up when i said hello

as a member of the NRA I don't think so, reason I'm getting the same calls

Got it at 5:26pm on Jan 24, 2010.  They hung up on third ring.  I am also an NRA member and have told them before I don't appreciate being constantly called

One Ring, then a hangup. I too called the number back. It is the NRA. The recording states ... they have important updates and will call back in a few days. Very annoying.

Called my address at 1945 and its no the first time

Let it go to answering machine. No message left. Called number back and got recorded message that said "Thank you for calling the National Rifle Association. We're very sorry we missed you. We will try to reach you again in the next few days. We were calling you with some recent updates. If you would like some more information about our organization, please press 1 now."  I am an NRA member, so I don't think this was a random call. Folks should also keep in mind that many times organizations like the NRA contract out to contact/call centers (independent companies), which may serve multiple clients using a handful of phone numbers. So just because you get a call from a number and someone finds out it was related to X company/organization, it doesn't necessarily mean that every call from that number is related to the same company/org.

Picked up phone - then caller hung up.  Called @ 1509hrs.

Don't be fooled!

It is not the National Rifleman's Association.

It is a collection agency known as NATIONAL RECOVERY ASSOCIATES exploiting the monogram NRA.

This IS the National Rifleman's Association - call the number yourself and when the recording comes on, that is EXACTLY what they will say.  I have asked them OVER & OVER again to stop calling our house and yet they continue.  We actually considered joining, but NO THANKS if they're going to call us all of the time!

I called this number back myself and the recording stated "Thank you for calling the National Rifle Association. We're very sorry we missed you. We will try to reach you again in the next few days. If you would like some more information about our organization, please press 1 now."  EXACTLY as "anonymous" said.  They call my house AT LEAST twice a day - very annoying.

I get a beep left on answering machine.
