It's Bank of America.  Call/message was legit.

ok todd, just becuase you say its legit, does not mean it true.  if they are not listed as bank of america, as i just searched, then why should anyone give out any information to such number. Seriously???

Bank of America calling to verify information regarding a loan application I submitted. They did ask to verify the last four digits of my SSN and I explained that I NEVER give out that info to a received call...so I verified info alternatively using numerals from address instead. Can't be too careful...

It is a legit number for Bank of America. It's their mortgage dept.

I called back, I am going through a refi, it was a rep from BOA

It's a B of A call center in he/she spoke rapidly and with poor enunciation.  After a few moments, I asked to speak with a manager and was told "thank you very much" and hung up on.  

Be careful processing or completing work with this "group" - something isn't right here and if B of A is outsourcing legal doc requests, that's fine, but our due diligence requires appropriate and legal documentation  and if they're unable to comply - oh well.

It's legit, Bank of America.   I just googled it since it showed up on my Work Phone, as a missed call.   It makes complete sense they would call our office since I work for a Homeowners Association Management company.  We communicate with banks, lenders, and collection agencies all day long.   Had I answered, I am positive I would have transfered them to Accounting, or Collections.

Legit? doubt it... they call at least once a week to our number (A federal law enforcement agency)

this is a no brainer... if you dont recognize the number, DONT ANSWER IT... JUST IGNORE IT.

Caller ID showed Unavailable - typically don't ans these calls but did tonite

after saying helo three times the Girl on other end finally said she was from B of A. Sounded like a phishing call. People were rude and they hung up on us. Gave out no info to them.

Called number back - greeting ans machine on other end said it was B of A. Talked with live person and they said they were B of A. Gave out no info - person was apologetic - still not convinced it was B of A.

Lesson Learned - let ans machine pickup all unavailable calls

I just called it and Automate Greeting says it is "bank of America Home Loans"

Yes, it is bank of america refinancing that I applied for.  It is a legit caller :)

Did not introduce who it is - asked for mother with her name. I told them I would get her to the phone, appeared to be indifferent about it - said it was OK. Mother said something then tried to get a response - then hung up on her.

This number is Bank of American. They called here to get employment verification of an employee for a mortgage application.

I, too, am refinancing. But the caller wanted my SSN and DOB.  Also, he is not the loan officer I am dealing with and my loan officer has no idea why the bank would call me.

I called 1-800-432-1000, the fraud department of Bank of America. They confirmed that it is their internal number belonging to the mortgage department. It is legitimate number just that it is unlisted on their website
