My daughter received a call from a "Sarah" stating she needed my phone number because I had placed an order and she needed to confirm it with her. Would not say what company she was with and was very pushy about getting my information. My daughter became suspicious and told her she would relay the message to me. This was the information given to me by my daughter:

Basically I'm tired of these people trying to get information from my children, when the matter doesn't even concern them and I've already responded to the originating debt holder.

I got a call on 8/20 at 8:30 am from this number saying that I was listed as an emergency contact for my daughter and they needed to get in touch with her.  They had my name and hers.  I told them I would not give them her phone number and he said "no, no, no I need for you to give her mine"  he gave me this phone number with ext 3505 and the name of Kelvin Turner.  I asked him several times why and he was really silent and then said it was about a personal matter.

My daughter had never heard of this before.

This company calls through out the day non-stop, calls after 9 pm mean nothing to them.    They don't stop calling even after you request them to.  When you request who they are representing they mumble so you can't catch the company name.

phone 888-505-1572, did the same thing to me, there non-stop calling even though there was no problem.

I have been receiving calls from the same Kelvin Turner. He said he was with United Recovery System. However, when I searched the number it shows up as HSBC. If in fact they are part of United Recovery System, URS was fined $240,000 and had a number of restrictions placed on them for violating the FTC FDCP act in April of 2002. They were to continue keeping records of complaints for the next four years. Some of the complaints were: abusive language, threatening arrest, harassing the comsumer even after it was requested that they no longer call. Contacting third parties ie: children, parents and/or other family members. It seems as though they have not changed their ways. Maybe somehow legal action should come about to help them see the error of their ways.

I recv'd a call from a Giovanni DeLacruz claiming to be looking for a neighbor with "important information" for these people.  Said it was "imparitive" that he contact them ASAP!  He actually gave me this phone number and asked that I contact them right away and give them this message.  Seems to me that I should be getting part of his collection fee.

Got a call today from the same number, 888-505-1572, from "Mario",
ext. 3469. He was looking for my next-door neighbor, with guess what,
"some important information", and wanted to leave a mesage that they call him at this number (the number on ID was different as shown below). Guess that's not happening any time soon. That "Mario" clown pretended there was some sort of emergency, with a purpose to abuse my trust.
Bye-bye, "Mario".

Got a call today, also for my neighbor. He left his Name as "Calvin Turner, calling from URS in Houston, TX. x3505". I took his information but gave out none.

I also got a note from this Mario guy today. Apparently he went to my neighbors or called them. And I got a note to call.

these people called my dad's Neighbor's accross the street stated they were a friend from Texas, they also called a Business neighbor @ his work and stated if they new my dad and could they get his cell phone #. Very Deceptive in California almost grounds for a State Attorney General's Complaint

Boy, this Calvin Turner is famous among these comments. He's been calling my cell phone asking for my husband. Don't know how he managed to get my number...by they sure are sly & sneaky. He even contacted my mother whom lives out of state and made her think that his intentions were good for calling.

Call them as often as you call your loved ones.
Tell them you just called to say hello or you're going to the store & would if they need something too.

I got a message today from a man I divorced 6 years ago that they called HIS FATHER looking for me or my new ussband.  The person's name was Dorothy.  What lengths will they go to?  Calling my ex-father-in-law??

why would you EVER give out your social security number so willingly?? They don't need it!

the 888-505-1572 ext.3474 called my mother at her house asking for my husband or his sister. This shocked me because my husband has never used my mother as a contact in anything. as i'm reading the posts here it makes me angry of how manipulative these people are.  Good thing my mother did not give his contact phone numbers.

I finally figured out where the washed up and worn out Street Hookers go when they need a lower class of employment,they work for Household Finance.  My wife is 70 years old with a heart condition and was put through the mill by one of these [***], a Christina.  Only some Medication (nitro) kept her from suffering a big one today after being
verbally whipped for half an hour.  It's too bad that Houston, TX is the home of this organization.  Now they have to put up with their stink, as though the refineries and chemical plants aren't enough!

They called my house 888-505-1572 ext 4476 charles atkins asking if I would give a message to my neighbor they said because they get a weird dial tone when they call them! I asked if they were a collection agency and they said "OH NO IT'S MUCH MORE SERIOUS!" That is absoulutley ridiculous to call me for my damn neighbor who i don't speak to! They are so full of crap and should be shut down!!

Charles Atkins from URS 888-505-1572 ext. 4476 called my house asking me to give a message to my brother-in-law.  Said that my brother-in-law put my name as a reference on an application.  (A REFERENCE FOR WHAT!) I knew it was strange that my brother-in-law would put me down as a reference and not his brother (my husband). Was this Charles just trying to get me to give out my brother-in-laws phone number.  When I called my brother-in-law to tell him that Charles called, he told me that his wallet had been stolen several weeks ago and that this must have had to do with that.  He had been pick-pocketed and the creep was trying to charge all kinds of stuff and open a bunch of accounts! He better not call me again!
