got a call from this number..automated voice just said it was from the IRS but didnt say who they wanted a return call from. also said actions would be taken if not called back. i have not called back yet because i wantd to see if anyone else have received this call .

yes I recieved same call - closing message said " and take care "  like some friendly overtone - foolish message IF it was from and IRS agent - they send certified letters and legal notices and not likley a phone call

Got the same call saying they were from the IRS. The person said I owed taxes from a previous year, and was to be arrested. I asked to speak with someone else and he gave me a name of a person named Adam Garcia at 888-508-0143. Called the number. A person answered, "Internal Revenue Service" and asked for Adam Garcia. I was transferred to the person answering as Adam Garcia. He claimed to represent the IRS and said he had turned my case over to the local authorities for my arrest. I called a local Attourney specializing legal matters with the IRS. He told me the Internal Revenue Service does NOT operate that way and it must be a prank or scam. Be aware.

Yup! same thing to me as well. But it's not the first time probably 5/6 times. I want to take an action against them. Can any one tell me what should I do?

I got the same message, but from phone # 2069468217 telling me to call them back on 2069468216. Has to be a scam. The IRS would mail you anything first.
