Got a call on my home phone (which is on the DNC list) and they left a message regarding our mortgage. Must be telemarketing, because the person who handles our mortgage does not use the home phone as a primary contact.

Scam for sure--message left said "getting back to me" about mortgage refinance with government programs.  Never contacted them before, just a con.  Female caller never gives name of company, just refers to it as "my company."

Just received call described as a callback regarding a mortgage.  We have never contacted these people regarding a mortgage.  Thinking someone had perhaps stolen our ID, I called it back.  No answer......sounded like a fax machine screech.  Did mention something called the Hamp program

I got the "message" on my voicemail as well- call came from a blocked ID.  Scammer

Called back - The company is called Newport - One contact there is Kim Anderson.  I kept calling back - and kept being hung up on.  I guess they don't like being called back, repeatedly.  This was after I told "Allison" that I was on the Do Not Call list.  Total phone scam.  To "Opt out" you have to leave your number AND your name.   Just keep calling back.  They will stop calling.

Private number on the caller ID. Yes, I got the same message on my answering machine: "Hi, this is Kristen....You called our office regarding your loan modification.......yadda yadda yadda......all about if you can't pay your mortgage, or owe more on your home than it is worth......we can help, just call us back at 888-523-0910."  Can't even report the number as you can't prove that they called from it.

Give me a break. They must think people, especially those like me, who are not having a problem, are incredibly stupid. Who would fall for something so transparent, especially when you know you didn't call anyone? What a joke!

Exact same message  above  was received by my elderly father who has not had a mortgage in 30 plus years and he certainly did not call them. Very deceiving as at the beginning of the call Kristen says "you requested us to call you back when we had  new rates" or something like that ....was kind of unintelligible.

This kind of call could be very confusing to an older person and dangerous too.  Horrible.

I am on the do not call list for telemarketers. This refi company should NOT be calling me. When I called the number to ask them to put me on the do not call list, the "opt out" option on the phone voicemail wasn't working. This company/person should be prosecuted for violating the law.

Left a message with this number.  Called them back with and hit 2 to opt out.

The best way to go after this pest is to file a complaint against them on the Do Not Call website.  It only takes a couple of minutes.  Let the government fine them and hopefully shut them down.
