Been getting calls from these idiots for several weeks now.  They never leave a msg on my answering machine, and my # is listed on the DNC registry.

No one on the line when I answered. I called back and they answered "The New AT@T".

I received a call from this number at 9:30am on Saturday, no one on the line. I got on here to see if I could found out where the number came from. I too, called the number and the recording said, "Thank you for calling the new AT&T, our offices are currently closed." Someone should have told their computers they were closed.

number keeps coming through on my caller id.  I too have called it back and it says Thank you for calling the new AT&T.  I get these calls at least 4 times a day.

calls at all hours of the day..as soon as you pick up phone it hangs up..no info on phone number and it's getting pretty old being disturbed day and night!

received a call from 1-888-832-5544 a lady asked for me and since I didn't reconside the number I said i was not there. She said she was AT&T and it was about the phone bill and i needed to call back that number before 11pm that night.  When I tried calling that number back later that night all I received was a disconnection tone.

after seeing 888-532-5544  on my c.i.d. repeatedly for the last week, they finally called while I was home, after saiyng Hello about 6 times
somebody finally spoke (with a Heavy hispanic accent) so I merely explained to this gentleman... that this was an American Phone number at an American house in AMERICA! and that we ONLY speak English in this house! And that if they could find someone in their place of Business who spoke English, I would gladly talk to them for hours!!!!, Otherwise Have a Nice Day!

I got a call from this number.The lady who called told my wife to give a call to this number.When my wife asked the purpose,the lady she's from At&T.We tried to call this number,all that we got was the  disconnected tone.

When I got home my wife told me that this number had called several times.  It called once more after I got home and there was no one on the line.  When I tried to call the number back, there was nothing.

Someone called from 1-888-832-5544 asked for me. I said I wasn't home, but I intended to take a message and call back later. She said this was a courtesy call from AT&T and left this number to call back. She also asked with whom she was leaving the message, and I gave her a fake name. I tried calling it a couple of times, but it gives me an all-circuits-busy tone. We're not late on our bill either, so there wasn't a reason for them to call.

I FINALLY PICKED UP THE PHONE AFTER NOTICING THIS ANNOYING NUMBER ON MY CALLER ID! AND SOME DUDE WITH AN ACCENT (SOUNDED WEST AFRICAN).. TOLD ME THAT HE WAS FROM AT&T AND WANTED ME TO VERIFY MY SSN?? OH... HONEY.. I WENT OFF! I MEAN.. I WENT CRAZY!! WHO ASKS YOU TO VERIFY YOUR ENTIRE SSN ON THE PHONE?? I COULD UNDERSTAND THE LAST FOR DIGITS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.. BUT A FULL SSN?? ANYWAY..LONG STORY SHORT... THEY WILL NOT BE CALLING ME BACK ANYTIME SOON I'LL TELL YOU THAT!

when number comes up on my ID, it says toll free...when i answer it, they dont say anything and hang up....calling average of 5 times a day at least

good lord... scammers never quit. cant we contact some governmental office and have them arrested? i havent answered the calls yet.. only 2x a day for me and im not home during the day. ill have a nice speach prepared when they do call next. or maybe.. maybe its time for a soundboard?? soundboards.com ... hrm that might just be more fun

I get this number calling me atleast 5 times so far today! Yesterday they called all day long as well. It doesn't matter if you are on the DNC b/c we have our phones and cell on there they still call all of them! I finally picked up this morning and the automatic message said, "Please wait for an important call.." IF if was that damned important, they would've left messages the first 30 times they have called! I gave them a "######" And hung up the phone. I don't get why they have to call 30 times a day when no one is home. Our ID box was filled with 12 calls from them yesterday.

Was also wondering, besides us, who really reads these message boards b/c apparently it doesn't help!!!!!

Okay so they just called back for the 6th time this morning. And I finally answered b/c I've had enough. They said that they were from ATT as a courtesy call and asked for my mother (who I pay bills for) and I said she's not home. Can you tell me why you've called 20 times this morning..." and she said, " We haven't called 20 times this morning only .." I said, "Please stop calling here. We got the phone book but stop calling and harassing us." And hung up. Seriously how many times do they have to call before we can even legally do anything????

Will not stop calling.
We are on the do-not-call list.

I want these calls to stop it is all hours of the day, no one there.......
