no message left - jarridynI received a call a few minutes ago from someone asking for my son. I said I could take a message because I would be seeing my son.
He said he was Oscar with the STA, and if this was his main business line. He left the number 888-535-3515, ext. 4317.
When I called the number, the receptionist answered FTA and said they are a financial company???whatever that means! From the actions of the two people I spoke with, this has to be some sort mix up. They are clearly barking up the wrong tree.- Caller: STA

- Cp| 1 replyThey called my business and talked to a couple of my employees asking for me.
I'm never at my shop so there is no way they are going to reach me.
My girls have a strict policy against giving out my cell number for this very reason.
These calls don't stop. All we got from them was that its "important" and it's
about a banking matter!? I don't think they're from my bank so I'm not sure how
that's true. Someone let me know if you find out more.- Call type: Telemarketer
- AnneVery similar story. Garbled message, no company name, no details other than the
call was in regard to an "important business matter".
I was left a "file number" and an extension.
When I called and spoke to the "agent", they did not identify the company name. I
asked who they were and what business they were in. I received vague,
non-responsive answers.
I said if a legitimate company truly had legitimate business with me, they'd be a
bit for forthcoming. I was told to "expect another call in 3 days and that it was not a sales call"
I'm very curious to know who these people really are.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Layton2nd call to my cell, no msg?.... must not be important! ;-P
You are quite the lonesome loser eh? - jjThey have called my cell several times over the last week and 2x yesterday morning already. No message. I figured it was a poll or something so i answered it today and
it turns out they were calling me about my length in business???? I'm not sure why they had my cell but I was pretty much in a F OFF kind of a mood so I figured I'd put it to rest.
I used to own a business and closed it.. and now I own a new company witha completely different phone number so I couldn't really figure out what the hell "Mike" with the "FTA" was trying to do or pitch me but obviously he was fishing for information so I hung up on him (figured I had earned the right to by now) and haven't heard from him since.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Debby Jcalled my cell two days in a row, left no message. if its a bill collector then they have the wrong number, because i dont owe anybody money.

- Tom MMe too! They called 3x in the last 3 days on my cell, which I don't give out except to friends. I don't have an acct with them, am not late with any bills. I haven't picked up since I do not recognize the #, they left no msg.

- ShadMoGot 2 calls from this number- one late on a Sunday 3/4, then again the following afternoon. First time I did not answer since I didn't recognize the number and I missed it the second time. I had no idea what it could be related to till I found the 2nd posting above- I had received a call from another uknown # (but not a toll-free) a couple weeks ago about a job fair where I could barely understand the individual. Sounds like this probably is a fishing line for job fairs- they only place I've posted online is Monster.com
- Shadroyjust got called again...(ignored em...again)
I think they tried calling my mom's old phone number too.. hA!
I bet they wish they could find me
Yeah baby...bring it!!! - AnthonyHere is the scoop. I took this call by Kristina they call themselves FTA
of fund Transfer Alliance. I always entertain any inbound call bcause it
helps me learn sells tactics that I can use for my own business. :) I
sell Oreck Vacuums in Fairfax Virginaand have done so for 15 years. I
usually let walks in do their dog and pony show to if I have time. Anyway
This lady called me all bubblie and happy talking about my ability to take
credit cards WHICH WE ALREADY DO!. She tried telling me that there is some
sort of higher power that if you do well as a company over time you can get
the service for cheaper. She fished around for my sales numbers (probably
to see if I was a big spender or not) and when I told her I do half a
million a year I could hear her licking her chops. What she tried to do is
send some one out to my business to review that way I run things and I
guess sell me a cheaper service. Normally I would be fine with something
like this.. it just seemed like an elaborate way to get some guy to come
see me and I didn't like that. I don’t know what they are if they are independent or just another credit card processing company but it felt strange because they didn’t come out and say they were selling. It felt like collectiong is why I gave them my numbers but before I agreed to meet I googled them and saw this post. Seems like they are just as evasive with everyone else so I’ll save it for another day. Please let me know if I shouldn’t bother!!@ God Bless- Caller: Funds Transfer Alliance

- KFuller| 2 repliesYup.. calling about our “merchant services account”… I get calls from " Krystal" all the time asking to speak to the owner of the stores .. by name.
I told her I was authorized to discuss it
(since the owner she's asking for is a 75 year old semi retired, and the merchant accounts are ACTUALLY in my name.. I didn't tell her this though)
she said she checked her records and I wasn't authorized. These people are ridiculous!!! Do you actually have a job to do or are you just wasiting our time!!?? I can’t figure out if they are selling or doing a survey… I wish they’d stop calling. Does anyone know if the do not call list expansion happened? It was for cell phones I think.- Call type: Telemarketer
