Receiving repeated calls, with a poor quality vmail - caller claims there is a govt (Canada) lien on bank accounts and a collection officer will visit.  This is 100% scam.  July 2015 in British Columbia, Canada.

recieved similar call, claiming to be CRA, and when attempted to speak to an agent, just heard lots of background noise and phrases such as "warrant for arrest" "debt collectors" etc....

Just got a call of this number a few moments ago saying my bank accounts would be frozen and a debt collector would be contacting me.. Stupid scammers!

Just received the same call to my cellphone. Very poor quality voice mail......stupid scammers!

received same called; threatening to send RCMP at my door, ceasing accounts; called my lawyer who told me this was a scam and found this site

But just think about how exciting it would have been if Sgt. Preston of the Yukon, and his trusty dog, had shown up at your door!

I had call, as well, claiming to be collection agent for CRA. Bogus! Fraud! Last week CBC had news story about these fraudsters -- a reporter received a call; she interviewed the bloke, who laughed and said Canadians are stupid cuz they are being tricked by he and his cohorts. If ya want confirmation re your tax account, call CRA directly.

Yukon king was a pioneer in the field of home schooling, it was called obedience school. For the older crowd, the first episode is on you Tube.

A call came in marked American and went to my voice mail. A man said he was from Canada Revenue and he gave me this number and the Canadian Revenue web address. He also said within 24 hours he would freeze my bank account and someone would come to my door to serve me with court documents. I believe this call is some kind  of scam because I can't imagine Canada Revenue calling from the USA. It also takes more than 24 hours to garnish  an account.

It's good that you noticed that the call 'appeared' that it came from the U. S., as most of the scams, even the overseas ones, have 'some' connection to the country where I live. Just totally ignore these disgusting AH's.

There are lots of legit government 1-800 numbers, this does not appear to be one them.

Blocked them right away knew it was a total scam. Totally unorganized people.

Received first call at 8:00 this morning. They said I owe $2000.00+ and will be audited from 2008-2012. Said RCMP will be coming to my door. Also that I could be sued for $55000.00, leans put on me, and my accounts frozen. They called again 3 hours later and informed me a Collection Officer will be arriving at my door within the next 24hrs. Very rude man with lots of chatter in the background as with any call center. How dare they impersonate our government.

I got one this morning I called 1-800-ocanada and they sent me a an email with legit govt numbers

+888 539 822 4 just called and said the same things. .. I'll be sued.  And officer will be coming and i better prepare documents. ..

This number called my house line and left a message that they were with the CRA and that I needed to call them within 24 hours to settle a claim/debt and if I didn't call back they would send a debt collector to my house. First off they didn't even say a name as to who they were looking for. The phone call so far only came once. It's a fake and I lost sleep over it. So thanks you stupid pranksters.

I live in the United States and they keep calling me threatening the Canadian government is after me.
