Callers name is Bill and is attempting to collect a debt.  All information received is for this purpose only.  They have been calling for weeks, we have no overdue debt owed to anyone and they don't asked for anyone by name.

Also received same call from "Bill" at CBCS... it appears to be some type of collection agency... Since I don't have any outstanding debts, they obviously have an incorrect number.   http://www.cbcsnational.com

Recieved call from an "Amy" at CBCS. I do have some outstanding debts, so I didn't give my real name.

I have been recieving calls from this number also, Identifying themselves from CBCS collections asking for information. I have no outstanding debts and I called the company they said I owed money to and their accounting office verified I had no debt and that my name was never sent to collections. Also this agency has no specific information about what this debt is for, just a money amount.

We received a call from 'Kathy' at CBCS. They were looking for a legal document related to my mother.  Sounds like a scam happening.

I got a call from a company called CBCS using this number asking for my dad - who passed away earlier this year.  When I told the woman that, she asked if I had power of attorney to which I answered yes.  She then asked if I would fax her a copy of the power of attorney.  I said no, not without knowing what this is about.  She then got very irritated and snippy.  So, I just hung up.  Obviously some type of phone scam.

I just got the first call from these people.  The caller was a thick accented Indian who will never speak the English language coherently.  He turned my two syllable name into a four syllable name.  OUCH!  I don't owe money.  I hope I don't get many of these calls.  I guess I will just demand to see them in court.

I got a phone message from a person named "Robin" of CBCS requesting I call back at phone 1-888-547-5354. I do have an outstanding debt for a medical bill. They left this message at my place of work though.  Can they do that legally?

I am a debt collector for a company and recently received a call from; Earl with CBC at 888-547-5354 in which he read the mini-Miranda over the phone into my answering machine and asking for a return call. I returned the call and they asked for Patrick Mabbott in which I am not this person. After my identifying to them that I too am a debt collector and I believe CBC to be in clear violation of the FDCPA for stating the mini-Miranda on a skip trace account in which they have no actual contact with Patrick Mabbott they violated the FDCPA. They told me no they didn’t after playing back the recording to them over the phone they representative terminated the call admittedly. I am using this as a source of documentation against this company. I hear by affirm that today January 11th of 2008 at roughly 3:05pm pacific standard time I Joseph Mabbott received a call from CBC with the mini-Miranda being read over the phone into my answering machine that “Earl were attempting to collect a debt any information used is for this purpose and to please return his call with CBC at 888-547-5354.” with out identifying the right party contact. I believe this to be in clear violation of the State of Oregon Law and Federal which protects my rights under the FDCPA

Received a call from these people today on my work cell phone. Didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer. I don't have any outstanding debts. Glad I googled the number before I called them back & got sucked into their mess.

They keep calling for the person who had this phone number about two years ago before I was assigned it.  I have told them time after time, that I am not the person they are looking for and I do not know the person they are looking for.  

They have not taken my number off their list despite repeated requests.

I have been getting calls from this number for months. Each time it is a caller with a thick Indian accent and each time they ask for a different person.  I have asked them to take my number off thier list, but it has not happened.  Is this a legit company or a scam?

I've been gettin calls from 888-547-5354 as well.  It's always
"This message is for (insert name here).  If this is not (insert name here) please discontinue listening to this message."  They've called about 5 times in the last 2 months.  I don't owe anyone any money.  WTF?

This is the 3rd time this company has called me in 4 days. Left a recording as a message on my answering machine.  The company is looking for someone who is not part of my household.

just got a similar call. however, i decided to call them back. i gave them my number, and they mentioned someone's name who doesn't live here. i told them i was a new occupant of this apartment, and they said they would remove my number.

They've called at least twice a week for four months straight. Ed, from CBCS , is his name. Each time, I call back and I speak with Casey who tells me that they had the wrong number. Very weird. I've explained that they are harassing me and it's getting out of hand and she states the same thing every time I call back.

I received THREE calls in 20 minutes from them today. Normally they only call twice in one day.
They are reaching someone who no longer has the number I now have. They have been calling for almost a year.
I am so annoyed.
I hope they have fun getting my machine.

They called my cellphone but I did not recognize the number so I rejected it.  They left me a voice mail which was blank.   I called the number and asked for Billy, they said, Billy is not here right now, what is your name.  I hung up on them.
