This number has been calling my house about 10 times a day asking for my father. I have told them several times that he does not live here, but they keep calling back. I finally spoke with a supervisor today and they said they would fix it. I'll hold my breath.

I have been hounded for the last 2 weeks by Chevron/Texaco's Indian Bill Collector at 888-554-1388. I know my bill is late and I told them that I would pay the bill as soon as I receive funds.

As to date, I have received more than 15 phone calls per day include Saturday and Sunday at all hours of the day.

This is my solution: I am keeping a log of EVERY phone call from these people. Starting tomorrow, I will answer every call, log it and ACCESS a $5.00 SURCHARGE for each call that I answer. I will then DEDUCT that amount from my bill when I pay it.

If everyone would do this, Chevron would have to tell their collectors to call only once a month and POLITELY remind the person that they are late.

If you hit them in their pocket like they are doing to us with their  finance charges, overlimit fees and late fees, they'll think twice about using collection agencies that are NOT required to follow proceedures mandated by the Federal Government.

Perhaps you should take a reading comprehension course. They made their payment, the company has not posted it - meaning the consumer has not been given proper credit yet.

Once you call the Number  you risk replies to yelp
Once you call any of their numbers you are automatically put into that downward spiral of auto called numbers any time you are late.

Kept getting numerous calls from this number on my cell phone--very annoying since I don't have an account with Chevron/Texaco.  Called them back and they said they would remove my number from their list.  Keeping fingers crossed that this will actually happen!

    Never Giving Up
    Chevron /Texco!
This is one crazy company, calling me about a account that I have closed with their company some month ago. These calls come to my job!!! which I have asked them to, plese stop calling me on job about nothing. Calling me to say, that I still own them a payment of fifty-dollars. Which I have explain to them my reason for not paying the fifty-dollars, to there company. Stated to me this is own for a late fee, which cause my account to go over the limited. My response was keep waiting for it. in the mean time; don't call my job any more or I will be reporting them instead of them reporting me!

I am constantly hounded at least 5 times a day by these folks. My phone that they call is the county employee cell phone assigned me by my employer, the local sewer plant. I have had this phone 2 months now, and it turns out the number formerly belonged to someone who ditched his bills. besides this, I get calls from Blockbuster saying my movies are overdue.

Early morning call to cell phone. Left no message.

I see from other posts here that this is apparently a Chevron/Texaco debt collector? I have never had an account with either.

    Only a week overdue
Not yet 30 days late, when will these companies understand what's going on with the economy and stop harassing people. If there are no jobs - there will be NO PAYMENTS. If an consumer has paid for years on end on time and just now is experiencing the inability to pay on time - its a horrible world we live in. It only adds to the stress that everyone is already experiencing. But, for sure, I don't break out in sweats anymore over not paying on time. I wish I had stopped along time ago and kept money for my rent and utilities including food of which I have run out. But this has only been within this month for me - what a shame. I'm not familiar with homelessness - but it appears to be almost inevitable. I look forward to filing bankruptcy - never wanted to do that - but its my understanding that after 3 years not 10 you can buy and credit companies will contact you again begging you to open an account. Just don't do it...it won't be worth it. No need to reply with 10 or 7 years I know someone who did it 2 times and bought a home after 3 years. Good luck in straightening out this Jacked up economy!
