who is this? Does anyone know?

I received a call from this number, but let it ring. I called this number back, and there's a automatic recording.  It's Bell Canada. If you listen to the message further, there's the option to take your phone number off their calling list.

It worked. They say could take up to a month to get your name out of their list but Hey, better than being constantly harrassed by these guys.

Confirmed as Bell Canada, If you call back, option 1 is to remove you from their Spam list.

It is not a Bell Canada number.  It's a scam.  Some company is using it to collect your home phone number so they can call you or sell your number to other scammers.

Doesn't anyone have anything better to do than call someone 6 times a day and not leave a message... Just get a life and stop calling.

Rings until Answerin machine comes on.  Leaves no message.  Display says BellCanadaICT.  Googled and this site comes up.  I'm so tired of this hassle of phone calls.

Got a call from this number but let it go to voice mail. No message left. Found this site and tried to call back but I get the dropped call beeping and the line gets all "static"-y

I got several calls from this number over several days. Display says Bell Canada ICT. I let them go to the voice mail but they didn't leave a message. Curious who is harrassing me, I cald this number. the only thing I got was an automated message: Sorry this number is not in service.

This number called several times today.
They didn`t leave a message.
I called the number and got "I`m sorry, This number is not in service. Please check the listing"

I thought that signing up for that "do not call" service would have taken care of these calls, but obviously it didn`t.
I STILL get three different telemarketers calling every day.

Yep, same thing with me.  They've called 20 times in the past week; trying to figure out who might be harrassing me, I called back, only to hear the # wasn't in service.  Get a life!  So much for "do not call lists!"

Got a call today...checked out Bell Canada ICT as someone suggested and it is definately not Bell Canada ...
Called 1-888-556-5148 and got # is not in service.
So much for registering with the DO NOT CALL service.

Last week I got a call from this number Caller ID was Unknown Name this week I got a call from the same number Caller ID Bell Canada ICT
Both times no message was left. This time I tried to call the number back and got I'm sorry the number you called is not in service...so I tried again a little later and got a busy signal.

There must be something we can do to STOP these annoying calls. Registering on the DO NOT CALL LIST doesn't appear to be working.

I can't take it anymore.I just want to strangle the person on the other end.It's not just this # I have 9 more numbers to figure out.

I believe the DNCL only works for companies in Canada, so if they are calling from outside of Canada, they don't know or don't need to adhear to the DNCL.

Called the number back and got an automated voice saying "I'm sorry, the number you have called is not in service."  So frustrating.  So sick of these telemarketers.  DNCL does not seem to work.

This caller identified her as "ICT for Bell Canada". Basically Bell contracts out their telemarketing calls to this ICT business. They are basically calling to to ask if there are any other Bell services they can set you up with in addition to what you already have.

I told this woman that I am on the Do Not Call list and she said that the DNCL does not stop people whom you already do business with from calling you...which is true, when I put my number on the list there was a note stating this fact.

I asked her to put me on Bell's internal DNCL and she said that she would do that and that it could take up to 31 days to take effect (which is the norm).

My suggestion is just to answer the phone and ask politely to be taken off their internal calling list. The woman I spoke to was very nice about it.

I haven't answered a bad call for over a year. I have 'call display' and my cordless phone let's me set a distinctive ring for numbers in its phonebook.
If it rings the default ring which is set to a soft purr I ignore it. If it's legitimate and not in my phonebook such as the roofer I called yesterday he can leave a message. I no longer swear at callers and I am happier for it.

Rec'd. 2 calls on the same day, only number shows on caller id. Did not leave message.
